Soft toy kit to pass the time

Am having to endure a period of enforced stay-at-home. Useless with my hands normally - things like needle craft - but would like maybe to make something for grandchildren. Is there anything by way of a fairly straightforward kit (for ADULTS) for making children's soft toys? All the ones I can find are either for children themselves to make or demand advanced needle skills.

Maybe Clothkits might have something suitable:

The mouse family kit, for example, suggests it is suitable to be sewn by age10+, but I think an adult would get a far better result.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.1
