Ebico: Alone in not reducing their prices.
I'm still using Equigas, and its now 12 months since their prices last changed. The law of Sod dictates that as soon as I start switching they will/may change prices. Anyone with insider knowledge have the skinny?

I don't remember seeing that in their in press release. Only supplier to put up electricity prices, not a good message! Looks like they released prices for their March…

Pilot Light gas usage
I've just received a gas bill for £99 for 1 month for a 2 bedroom house (just heating and hot water, no cooking). It's our first month in the place and I called the gas board out to take a look and see if we had a leak. He couldn't find one so he just changed our meter. I've just done a test using the new meter with…

Not So Free Energy Saving Bulbs
Anyone else see this? We got some of these. I even sent for a batch of them! Add to it the fact that we don't notice any difference in the electric bill despite it and other energy saving measures. It's as high as ever. And the light they give is inferior, in my opinion, to the old light bulbs. Not So Free Light Bulbs

Praise for Southern Electric (for once)
After all their rude and factually incorrect attempts at getting me to stay, I have to give praise to the chap who called me last week. The wrong opening / closing reading was used for our gas bill and I raised a dispute with our new suppliers. Having received the final bill from SE, I contacted them to let them know that…

New House - Storage Heaters, Economy 7/10 and bill questions
Hi, I’m moving into a new property next month; 3 bedroom terraced house, 2 living rooms and a Kitchen. There is no gas central heating, everything (including hot water) is via electricity. They have storage heaters. The current occupant claims that he pays on average quarterly bills of around £150 in the summer and £350 in…

Coin electricity meters?
Hi I've seen a studio flat that I really like - the only issue for me is that it has a coin electricity meter, where you actually have to feed coins in for there to be power. I realise this is likely going to be more expensive, but I wanted to know how much on average people are paying with this method. It's a pretty small…

are EDF trying it on
I bought a bungalow, it was first built in 1930s, it has electricity but the cable comes through the door frame and when you open door it pushes against it onto wall. I found out that EDF own the cable so rang them and at first was told that they would move it free as its not good having cable though door frame. They sent…

British Gas
I wonder if someone could tell me if this is considered excessive? We moved in to our new house on 7th Dec and have just received our first gas bill from British Gas for £509! This is for gas only. The only appliances we have are for heating and hot water. The most I have ever had to pay for gas supply is £150 per quarter.…
