Moved house want meters changing
Options
Hi All,
Just bought a house and it has prepayment meters for gas and electric. I don't want these.
How do i go about having them remeoved. I've found cheaper suppliers using uswitch than what the old owner was using but i want the meters changed and to go on DD.
IS this easy to do or will i be forced to use the meter?

It depends on a couple of factors.
Firstly how good is your credit rating? They will check and if OK will normally let you change. Having bought a house this will not normally be a problem.
Initially you will have to use the present supplier. Some companies charge to have credit meters fitted(often £50 per meter) others don't.0
