Anyone done a comparison this evening?

Ovo have lowered prices and released a variable rate tariff too (no exit fees!)

Looks very good to me, may even switch off my SP fix deal now!
Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

I wonder why they don't do the old Hydro Electric area?

Just done a comparison now and yes they do seem to have some incredible prices there. What's going on? They even have two green energy tariffs (one variable, one fixed with exit fee) which are both almost as cheap as SP and npower's cheapest online tariffs*. How can they do this? Are they trying to start a major price war?

Is this too good to be true?
On the face of it I could save 18% by switching to their New Energy fixed deal.

    So anyone taking the plunge?

    Hi

Just checked against the tariff I'm on Npower Go Fix. Ovo is 16% more.

FYI Babe, U Switch did not have their latest rates earlier, they are on OVO's site or Energyhelpline.
Just incase you used them to check.

Now I'm really confused, is it 'cos I'm a low user that their prices seem good?

I know I'll bung my figures into Energyhelpline again, something funny here.

Having tried again they are now only 7% cheaper than my current deal, an hour ago it was more like 18%.

Methinks there are gremlins at work here.

I'm a low user - that's why they are more expensive for me. My annual bill with EDF is (almost) the same as the standing charges alone with Ovo!

    Thanks babe.

I used OVO's website @ 9: am, and NEnergy fixed showed an 18% (£103) saving.

I have just @ 11:00 am run the programme again and its now showing a saving of 7% (£40)

I hope nobody signed up on the basis of an early morning comparison as there was obviously something wrong with the earlier figures.

WARNING OVOs prices were in error first thing this morning
