I have a Home Care contract with British gas and pay about £16 a month every month to renew it, we have had this contract for the last 6 years at least. We had our annual service on monday and mentioned that the hot water out of the taps wasn't as hot as usual in the last 2 weeks or so, yet the radiators were still as hot…

Cheaper to leave central heating on or not?
Hello all I have heard that it is cheaper to leave you central heating on and adjust the thermostat than it is to turn it on and off. I believe that this may be because it takes longer and more energy to heat the house up when it gets cold than it is to keep it at a constant temperature. Since hearing this I have left mine…

Switching Energy Suppliers
Hi there, We are paying £106 per month direct debit to EON for gas and electric for a 3 bed detached. I just did a search on moneysupermarket which says I could save £500 per year by switching to EDF. Last quarter was £209 for electricity and £234 for gas. Does this seem high? who else thinks it's all far too complicated?
Honestly it's taking me ages trying to figure out what to do, whether to stay with npower or switch to another supplier. We're only staying in our flat until September to dont want anything with early termination fees. There's too many bloody tariffs as well it's crazy. And I dont find the comparison websites easy to use.

Checked the online sites and surprisingly some could offer a saving. However, I will not pay by D/D - I refuse to allow a…

Do comparison sites REALLY work? - (E-On rep might like to look at this as well ....)
I was on Uswitch yesterday and was thrilled to see that by switching from Scottish power to E-On I would save 250-odd pounds per year ..... Until I looked at the actual pricing on the tariffs ...... Dual fuel so there are four prices - gas upto a limit, gas over that limit and the same for electricity. THREE OUT OF FOUR of…
