Cheaper in the evening
Options
I am looking for a energy tariff that is cheaper in the evenings, I am at work most days from 08:00-20:00 and don't see the point in paying more for electricity when im not using it.
Could someone point me in the direction of a supplier, I have been looking at EDF but the tariffs are quite confusing.
Thank you

I dont think you can get one as the cheaper rates tend to be in the wee hours with economy 7
Why would you think a supplier give cheap rates in peak hours?

You dont pay for electricity if you dont use it. You may pay a standing charge or higher rate tariff which really includes standing charge0 -

But your biases of changing is because you pay for electricity you dont use in hours when you arent at home

Eco20:20's off peak electricity unit rate (which applies between 10pm until 8 am BST (or - 9pm until 7am GMT) weekdays and all weekend) is currently 20% cheaper than EDF Energy's standard core electricity tariff. An EDF Energy customer with a typical annual electricity consumption (3,300kwh) and usage pattern, could save up to £37 by moving to Eco 20:20. By shifting more of your electricity usage to off peak times you could save even more. Eco20:20 tariff is always set to GMT times, this means that during British Summer Time your off-peak times will be 10pm until 8am on weekdays.0

What im trying to say is that during the evenings when im home I want to pay less as im not in during the day and its only me living here.
I am only home every other weekend so the 20:20 tariff sounds like the option im looking for.
The original comment about "paying for electricity when im not using it" maybe wasn't what I was trying to say.
Like I said I know very little about these things and so when I ask its because im looking for advice.0
