Trouble with eon

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice please. My dad changed gas supply from eon to british gas. He was on a prepayment meter and eon said that he owed them approx. 60 pound. My dad is registered disabled and has learning difficulties. It has been going on for about 6 months now and he has just received a letter telling him if he doesnt pay they will take him to court and he will have to pay all the costs. I am absoultly horrified that hey are treating him like this. All advice welcome.

Thanks jojo x

    Hi jojododd,

Building up a debt on a prepayment meter suggests there has been an issue or error somewhere. That is unless a debt had been built up previously and the prepayment meter was installed as a solution to this.

If a debt was being paid back through the meter and a change of supplier has taken place the debt (if justified) is required to be paid.

If this £60 is not justified and has been built up during the prepayment meters life then E.ON need to investigate this and correct any issue that may have caused this.

Contact E.ON as soon as possible to request this balance be justified, whilst any investigation goes ahead, follow up will be brought to a halt.

You can email me directly through my profile if you'd like my assistance.
