Switching Energy Suppliers

Hi there,

We are paying £106 per month direct debit to EON for gas and electric for a 3 bed detached. I just did a search on moneysupermarket which says I could save £500 per year by switching to EDF.

Last quarter was £209 for electricity and £234 for gas. Does this seem high?

I hear a lot about the energy prices coming down - is now a good time to switch?

Thanks,

Jonathan.

£500 saving based on annual consumption or monthly direct debit amount?
You will only get an accurate result if you use your annual consumption figures.
Impossible to say if you bills are high without knowing anything about your actual consumption.

That's not your annual consumption, that's your last quarterly bill. If you use those figures it will not be accurate, as it will only reflect the (most expensive) winter quarter.
Get your last 4 bills, total the Kwh consumption for each supply over a year and put them into the comp site.
If you don't have those figures, phone your current supplier and they will provide the annual consumption.
