Do I need extra Boiler/System cover??

Pls can anyone advise me. Have just had new Worcester Bosch boiler fitted - comes with 2 year warranty. I also have Home Emegency Cover with Homeserve (though M& S Home Insurance) which appears to cover breakdown of heating. Is there any need for me to take out extra cover with, for example, Domestic & General? Am I missing anything with my Home Emergency Cover - for example I understand it is ONLY for emegencies so maybe that means it isn't so comprehensive. If you have maybe just gone through working this out for yourself, would you please let me know what conclusion you came to? Many thanks

I have emergency cover for my heating with Barclays, they farm it out to a big insurance firm, forget who for the moment. It do work as last year in the winter mine broke down, and they were there in 24 hours. And did not cost anything to myself.

Just be careful if you do need to ask for emergency help, that you don't say things like I tried this or that and it still wont work. Say nought and act dull. Others have said on here that in the summer, it's then not considered an emergency. It's something I am going to question them about when it's time for renewal.

What are buying is warranty cover in the event that something may or not go wrong ,If you are over 50 yrs you may be able to add this in with your buildings and contents insurance, It covered what needed at less cost .
