strange buying frenzy
Serious question as I am really puzzled. Is anyone else finding their auctions are going for silly money at the moment? I research my business stock before listing and don't do low price starts, I always start at the minimum I will accept. Yet I've got items that other people can't sell at around £3 going for £20, I've got…

Buyer's changed their mind
Had my son's motorbike for sale - it has sold but the buyer has emailed me saying that it is no use to him as he has bought another off ebay. He has offered to pay the listing costs etc - what happens now? I know I can offer a second chance if I want to, but not too sure about it. Couldn't they have emailed me and…

When free postage isn't free postage!
Hope someone can help. I am mightily confused! I purchased an item on EBay.co.uk for £12.00 from a UK seller and I am also in the UK. In the auction particulars at the top it clearly says: Postage:FREE P&P Royal Mail 1st Class Standard HOWEVER When I go to pay for the item it says: Item name Item ID: xxxxxxxxx - Price:…

Really upset about feedback!
I sold 2 or 3 items at the end of May and they were all sent off on the same day. Approx 1 week later I had an email from one of the buyers claiming it hadn't been received and asking whether I had sent it yet. I responded within hours saying it was sent the very next day after the auction ended (as all items were paid for…

Buyer claims unauthorised card transaction
I sold an iPod on ebay (item#260603347846) back in May. The buyer left feedback thanking me for delivery. Today I get an email from PayPal saying... We were recently notified that one of your buyers filed a chargeback. This simply means they asked their credit card issuer to reverse a payment made to you purchased on 15…

Feedback, grounds for removal?
I've just received this from a buyer; inaccurate listing details( upheld by ebay), very rude communication. They purchased an item from me without reading the listing, there were no inaccuracies at all in the description or the picture, they're just peeved that they didn't read things clearly. Ebay have not contacted me at…

Recorded / Special delivery online
I've noticed that Royal Mail offer you the chance to buy Recorded and Special delivery online, but do you have to post these at the Post Office which would to me suggest it was a bit of a waste of time to do it online?

Buyer Wants Refund.
Hi, Long time lurker, first time poster. I sold a TV on ebay (150452484131) last night, the buyer came to pick up yesterday evening (despite not telling us, he just turned up at the door) and paid cash and went on his way. He's emailed this morning demanding a refund as: He had to spend 20 mins cleaning the TV, well it was…

Selling jacket - ebay won't let me put correct postage costs
I want to sell a jacket that is quite heavy and also an expensive brand, however, ebay will not let me enter the postage costs at more than £4.00. I just weighed the jacket and to send it special delivery, will cost £6.70 (+ packaging), so around £7.50 altogether. How do I get around ebays p&p price policy? Obviously don't…

Very fast feedback
I sold a pair of shorts on Sunday night and the buyer left instant feedback, just saying "good price". I'm not sure they get the concept of feeding back on how I performed i.e. delivery and delivery charges, communication etc. rather than commenting on the price other people bid up to over which I have no control.:rotfl:

After all the charges and everything I am now £1.61 worse off than before I sold them:( So much for trying…

Sale room problem, is this a scam
Hi chaps, I visit a sale room most weeks, 3 weeks ago I saw a small painting I liked - I was happy to pay £50 (a big spender me) - anyway the auctioneer said he "had some interest" and started at £100, it quickly got bid up to £135 and was knocked down ... anyway it was on the wall the following week and the same thing…

Possibly dodgy transaction and can he get out of it?
My husband wants a new laptop battery and wants a genuine one and not a rubbish fake import one. He searched for batteries listed as being in the UK and double checked on the item page and it definitely is listed as shipping from the UK. He bought it on a "buy it now" and paid immediately with PayPal. He was surprised to…
