strange buying frenzy

Serious question as I am really puzzled.
Is anyone else finding their auctions are going for silly money at the moment?
I research my business stock before listing and don't do low price starts, I always start at the minimum I will accept. Yet I've got items that other people can't sell at around £3 going for £20, I've got another item i started at £19.99 going for £63. This stock is all completely different, it isn't even stuff in the same category. The other odd thing is I have virtually no watchers, just bidders.
It's making me a bit nervous actually, the prices are getting silly.
I've even got relists that I couldn't sell previously at £9.99 now bid up to £21.
I've even sold something on ebid..which is even odder.

I did wonder if it was ladies getting access to the PC because their OHs are watching football but most of my stuff isn't the sort of thing you would buy like that. A couple of the bits are actually more likely to go to male sci fi geeks than women anyway. The lack of watchers is strange though, just going straight in with bids.
Oh well, as you say enjoy it while it lasts, it probably won't last long.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Maybe the sci-fi geeks don't like football. Or the sunshine has made people spend money.
Can you pass some of your buyers my way please.0 -

Well it's harder to buy stuff, so I don't think you're alone

We don't do auctions, but we've been shifting more than normal, so happy times
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

Definately a frenzy. I have always done BIN. But since World Cup have done a couple of 99p start listings. Two items normally sell (and are still in the shop) at £15.99. One went for £25, the other £22.???
I love it when the girls are on the PC and the boys just shout 'yes dear' when the girls say 'shall I bid honey' :rotfl:0 -
How long is there left of football? Should I stay up all night listing? Is there any on tonight? Please say yes, as all mine finish tonight0

I have just started packing things and also looking at a number of current auctions, I seem to have an awful lot of North American bidders that are really pushing my prices up.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm finding my BINs quiet and my auction items are going higher than expected. Must be the football playing with things!0
