Really upset about feedback!

I sold 2 or 3 items at the end of May and they were all sent off on the same day.
Approx 1 week later I had an email from one of the buyers claiming it hadn't been received and asking whether I had sent it yet. I responded within hours saying it was sent the very next day after the auction ended (as all items were paid for straight away) and that she should receive it in next day or two (it was sent 2nd class standard) however if she doesn't, then let me know.
3 or 4 days later I heard from her again saying she still hadn't received. That was all that was said in the email. I emailed her back (again, within hours) saying that I would refund her immediately and sent her my apologies. I never heard anything after that until today when I log on to my eBay and find she has left me negative feedback saying "NO ITEM NO ANSWER TO EMAIL VERY BAD SELLER" and given me all 1* DSR's.
I have emailed her asking her to justify these claims, especially about the 'No answer to email' bit, but I don't expect to hear anything back. I'm extremely angry I have to admit. I have responded politely (and not in capitals) but its really dented my DSR's. I don't sell very often, I think about 100 things in last 2 years however only 45 have left feedback so these have really dented me.
What should I do to 'recover' from this or am I worrying unnecessarily?

PS. My feedback percentage is still 99.6%, its my DSR's that I'm worrying about!Thinking it over...:o0

Why would you refund after only 4 days ? 2nd class normally takes 2 - 5 days. I would not have promised delivery so quick for 2nd as it can be very slow sometimes. I wouldn't have promised that for first class post!0

Hi, i sold something on ebay which arrived damaged, the buyer contacted me about it and i refunded straight away, then i got a neutral feedback, i thought was unfair0

It wasn't, it was 11 days in total before refunding. Buyer sent first email after 1 week and then 2nd email after 3 or 4 days.Thinking it over...:o0

Did you reply via email or via ebay messages? Just that she might have lost them to her junk folder if it was email?:www: :: MFi3 ::

Always always always send by Recovered delivery. Either swallow the cost yourself or openly pass it on to the buyer (make it the only method offered). For 70p-odd its totally worth the peace of mind in cases like this.0

Why? It's pretty pointless in the scheme of things.
If you have an item that sells or over the £41 covered by standard mail then Special Delivery is the way to go.0 -

Unfortunately not many of us have enough money to waste on lining the pockets of RM. I send approx 120 parcels a month, recorded on that lot would cost me £88.80 , imagine how many dodgy buyers i would have to lose to make that worthwhile! If I honestly thought that everyone on ebay was out to scam me I would give up selling online.
Anyway, in some areas it never shows online as delivered anyway, so it not suitable for paypal purposesI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What piece of mind when it doesn't actually track over 2/4rds of the time you lose a Paypal claim anyway. Just use COP to claim for any lossed up to £41. Your postage prices will be more competitive and you'll get more sales and etter overall prices0 -
