Got 2 cases open for a return of item

I have 2 cases open for the return of an item, the seller has been going through the ebay case, but I have just been reading that I cant have 2 cases open. If I close the ebay one and stick through the paypal one will it work? It wont close the paypal one as well?

I have returned the item 1st class recorded, so hopefully royalmail update their systems to show it as being delivered.

I was in this situation recently. Paypal ended up closing the dispute themselves that I had open with them and left the Ebay one open. They both have the same outcome.

The case in ebay is a return case and the paypal case is the snad, are they the same kind? What happens if the seller doesnt refund me through the ebay one? It says in the ebay info that they have 30 days to sort it, so if they dont, will ebay automatically refund me?

Ebay will refund you themselves via the Ebay dispute and will then chase the seller for the money.
The dispute I had open with Ebay didn't go the full 30 days, i think it was more like two weeks, the seller commented in the dispute that they would issue a refund and then after 10 days with no sign of a refund i was able to 'Escalate' the Ebay dispute and that was sorted pretty quickly.
