in Ebay, auctions, car boot sales, post & parcels
I've noticed that Royal Mail offer you the chance to buy Recorded and Special delivery online, but do you have to post these at the Post Office which would to me suggest it was a bit of a waste of time to do it online?

    If it doesn't go via a post office you won't be able to prove that you actually posted it.

    you can drop an RD in the post box
    however you will not have proof of posting if it doesnt track
    you must take an SD to the post office

    If you buy it online your not given a tracking number so for it to have a chance of tracking you need to take it to the PO for them to log the Tracking number in the system
