Buyer's changed their mind

Had my son's motorbike for sale - it has sold but the buyer has emailed me saying that it is no use to him as he has bought another off ebay. He has offered to pay the listing costs etc - what happens now? I know I can offer a second chance if I want to, but not too sure about it. Couldn't they have emailed me and withdrawn their bid before thae auction ended?

Maybe they both finished at about the same time? I think that they can ask through the resolution centre to have the sale cancelled, let them do it, rather than you. If you agree to the cancellation the FVF will be credited but you will lose the listing fee, I would take the bidder up on their offer of paying that.0

Buyer can't cancel a sale and if seller tries a mutual and buyer doesn't follow the procedure then the FVFs remain payable.
OP, work out all the costs associated with the sale, send a paypal invoice for them and see if buyer pays. If not go through a full NPB on them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
