hi,
i have recently bought something on EBAY which hasn't yet arrived.
apparantly posted 11th June recorded delivery. at what point do i either raise a dispute or ask for a refund?
i bought and paid for the item on the 10th, and specifically chose it for the speedy delivey of recorded as i really wanted it for Saturday (19th June).
i realise that it could still arrive, but i don't want to miss the boat if it doesn't arrive.
what do i do now?
sorry but i've never had any problems, and don't know if there are timeframes involved in amy of this.
many thanks,
Nimbo

Recorded delivery is no faster than normal mail. I'd give at least 10 working days before I asked for a refund. Today is only the 4th day since it was sent. You don't state if it was 2nd or first class. If its 2nd class it could quite easily take longer
If it doesn't arrive by the end of next week and your not offered a refund then open a dispute.0 -
Have you asked for the tracking number?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
If it was sent late on Friday, it may not have even left the post office until Saturday. 2nd class is 3+ days, so wouldn't actually be due until today at the earliest. Not all posties leave a card if you're out when they attempt delivery, so it could end up at your sorting office.
Here's a link to RM delivery services, that will show expected delivery times.

I'm fairly relaxed about refunding my buyers but I would expect them to get well into the 2nd week before I even considered a refund.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's me again....
the parcel has still not arrived - and it was for my mothers wedding - weekend just gone. i obviously didn't turn up skirtless, and have had to buy something else. (it could have happened anyway, but i was hopeful that the skirt would be fine).
i am planning to email the seller tonight, but she (i think it's a she) still hasn't responded to my email from last week.
after emailing her, if she doesn't repsond by Thursday evening i am planning to raise a compliant - giving her 2 days to respond seems fair to me. - she hasn't been forthcoming so far, but this could change. she also seems to sell alot online, so she should be checking her account...
exactly how do i raise a complaint as i have never needed to in the past...
many thanks,

Find the transaction in your Paypal account, scroll to the bottom and click RESOLUTION CENTRE, follow the instructions to file an ITEM NOT RECEIVED dispute.0 -
Here's the information on the ebay Help page: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/item-not-received.html
Hope it helps and that you get your refund.0 -
If you contacted the seller last week & they haven't responded I would just start an INR, they've had time to respond.0
