Internet is expensive
Have been with VM for 8 years. Renewed my contract and paying £40 p/m for Broadband 70 and Talk More Anytime. I would have not bothered but as a parent every school work is done online, and internet is becoming from luxury to necessary. What are better companies or ways to reduce the price? Thanks

Sky Broadband Weekly Email Offer
Hi, I'm not sure whether I just made a costly mistake! I placed a Sky Order for the same package at the start of Jan for £17.40 per month, seeing this offer I was obviously pretty cheesed off but as I was in cooling off period I just cancelled that one without charge via customer service. I have to wait 24hrs to sign up…

Changing Broadband provider
HI, I am looking to cancel my BT broadband and TV to save some money. Will my youview box still work if I move to another provider for just Broadband as I dont really want to have to pay an upfront cost to another provider for a new box. Meaning I can subscribe to broadband only, not broadband and tv. BT are telling me the…

Restarting an LLU line for £49.99
Am not really sure what the above means but if I downgrade from BT Infinity Fibre to Plusnet standard broadband, does that require an engineer visit and £49.99 fee? Thanks

compensation for 8 weeks no fibre broadband?
We have been without Plusnet fibre broadband for 8 weeks with no fix in sight. It is a problem with an update that has now failed 24 times We are being 'generously' allowed to leave the contract with Plusnet early and as a goodwill gesture, they are offering to refund us the next 10 months line rental we paid in advance. I…

Will Changing to Fibre Interrupt Internect Access?
I'm considering switching to fibre, but I'm wondering if the switch will cut off my internet for a week or so like when I moved house. Or does it connect straight away with no delays? I'm on TalkTalk.

VIRGIN MEDIA - Help needed
Ok, so VM have upped my bill yet again! Now paying £20 more than 12 months ago. Rang up today asking for a better offer. They reduced it by a paltry £9 pm. I said I wanted to cancel. They told me to go away and find a better deal then to come back to them and they will match it. Problem is I can't find a deal that matches…

Now TV Fab Fibre Broadband
Hi, Looking to move to Now TV Fab Fibre due to crazy prices from Sky. Haggled and got £60 reduction but Sky still cannot match. I want to know if anyone has experience with Now TV. What was it like? Are they good? Is their broadband decent, any problems with set up?

No sale, BT (wonder if they actually want new business).
After using Virgin's TV/phone/broadband service for more than 8 years, I decided to look at alternatives and thought BT's New Year sale was a deal worth looking at. I signed up on Thursday with them, but when I checked my order today and queried it with BT's Live Chat, I was advised no TV service was included, despite it…

BT monthly Broadband Usage incorrect?
Hello, I've been with BT Broadband for 9 years and never really had a problem with them. Yesterday I received an email telling me I had used almost all of my monthly Broadband Usage up (within 5 days!) I logged onto my account and it said: You have used 89.97 GB of your monthly 90 GB allowance and have 0.03 GB. Your…

Switching from BT broadband takes how long
I want to switch from BT broadband at the end of my current contract, to Sky. It looks like the minimum switch time is 10 working days, so is it safe to initiate the switch 10 working days before end of BT contract? I don't want to pay a cancellation/termination fee with BT but I don't want to pay too much days of the…

Virgin Media and moving house
Hi - I am a current virgin media broadband customer and moving house to an area not supported by them. Is it correct I have to pay off the remaining contract? I understand the contract is tied to the current house but they offer a service to move the contract over and because they do not support the area I am then…

Can this be true - no longer capacity to provide fibre broadband?
Hi, Hoping someone who knows techy stuff can help. We have had plusnet fibre for a few years with no problem. 8 weeks ago, plusnet changed us onto a "more stable fibre network" at 2am. We didn't notice the next day, still same service, didn't know they'd even done it. The day after, the fibre switched off and has been off…

Can I order BT deal now and install in Feb?
BT has some good deals on currently (inc £150 Mastercard as cashback) but the offer closes in 6 days. I am in the process of trying to rent an apartment and if its all signed and agreed next week I was wondering if I could order my broadband next week but request an install date of 1st Feb or later?

Virgin Media fail to deliver promised level of service
Hi everyone, Just before Christmas a Virgin rep came to my door and offered me the following:* XL TV * 200MB broadband * sky movies * TiVo v6 box * an extra set top box * Line rental and free evening/weekend calls All this for a mere £39 a month! I'm not the biggest fan already of virgin media, but I entertained the idea…

Broadband - any reason to consider staying with BT?
I have 99% made up my mind to switch my broadband from BT to Virgin Media - is there any reason not to? Reasons to leave.. - I am frustrated beyond belief with my internet service which has been dropping out intermittently - several times a day - for weeks now. I have had 3 engineers visit our property and apparently fix…

Do we need to pay the prices we do for phone and broadband
I asked this question of myself because of a recent issue with my Phone/Broadband supplier and I thought it may be of interest to some people to hear what I found whilst considering the following - How much do I use my landline compared to the broadband bundled with my present service - What is the maximum number of…

Cancelled TalkTalk account 4-5 years ago, they never stopped DD!
I've just realised (yes I've been far too lax) that the TalkTalk account that I stopped when I moved in July 2012 has been billed each month since, they never closed the account. What are my best next steps?

Can I switch broadband companies if present account is not in my name?
Suspect I am monumentally thick and its obvious either one way or the other, but... The phone & broadband contract (which I pay for) expires soon, and I want to switch to a better one with another company. However the contract being used presently is not in my name. Am I able to make the switch myself, thus keeping my…
