A device for the elderly to trigger a call to an emergency contact?
Since the fall detection on the Apple Watch SE2 is flipping useless we're looking at other ways to deal with a problem with my mother who keeps going over. Thinking of something like those things you can have round your wrist or whatever & you pull them. Problem is I'm not sure if those things are say to alert someone else…

TV 'Dirty Screen' marks?
I have a 5 year old LG LG-OLED55C14LB TV purchased with a 6 year warranty from Richer Sounds. It has developed what I describe as dirty marks on the picture. These are not really noticeable unless there is a large area of colour such as the green pitch of a football game. Richer Sounds say it is screen burn. I accept that…

Beware of digital game download purchases from CDKEYS - my experience
I purchased a digital download key for a PC game in late November 2020 as a Christmas gift for my son from the online company CDKEYS. In late December I tried to activate the PC game through the Microsoft store but the game code was flagged as already redeemed. I contacted CDKEY's that sold me the code and they told me to…

How to erase a partition?
Got a second hand drive. It came partitioned. I want to make it as one but can't. I had this once before with a used drive but forgot how I sorted it. I remember it taking me a bit of faff back then too. Probably only because I don't know what I'm doing. I have Googled this, which said to use cmd or powershell. As the step…

Saving in Google Drive
Question? How do you organise your files in Google Drive? The architecture is a bit of a mystery to me. Can anyone recommend a good YouTube video about this or explain at all. At the moment Google Drive just saves for me and I go into recent files. There must be more to it than that.

Possibly sold a bogus hard drive. Can anything be done?
Probably more suitable in the consumer rights forum but those that frequent there may not have so much techie knowledge so I'm coming here. Weird experience on BT email
I was writing a lengthy e-mail on my i-pad when suddenly AI took over and added words without my control. When I tried to delete the new words I lost most of what I had written. Copy text from header into main text
I'm working on a Word text and I made the mistake of writing some text in the header. I don't need the header, I need to have the text in each header in each page. The header of each page has different text. Cutting and pasting it page by page (nearly 30 already) would take ages. Any advice? I wouldn't mind clearing the…

Data Limit ?
A message on my Android warns me I only have a day's worth of data left, I've used 2.5 GB. However, it's connected to my router (there's a lit sign on the top left of my phone with the name of my internet provider). I rarely take it out of range of the router, and the data limit on my provider says that I've got 2.88 left…
