I don't think there is.

The (internal) data on the emails will be holding the date/time in Universal format (UTC), it's just that GMX chooses to display it in US format. If you send from GMX it will show in the recipient's email client's format.

Good point, I was looking at the web version. Just checked the app and it seems to be using local (European aka Proper) format.

I use GMX but not their clients. Never had a date issue.

I've had a GMX account for donkeys. Just use it as a throw away for unimportant stuff. The date thing is a minor inconvenience.

Seems not to be a sound reason to ditch something you like.

Like others I have used it for years and it's never been an issue. I mainly use an eMail client and it just displays as June 21, for example. That said even using the Web view it's not been a noticeable problem.
