Saving in Google Drive
Question? How do you organise your files in Google Drive? The architecture is a bit of a mystery to me. Can anyone recommend a good YouTube video about this or explain at all. At the moment Google Drive just saves for me and I go into recent files. There must be more to it than that.

You can create folders and save or move things into them just like a traditional file system. So whatever you might do on your hard drive you can replicate that file structure.
In the Android app (for example) click the Files icon bottom right and you can see your folders. The normal "Home" view does show just recent files accessed.

I've pretty much given up trying to organise my files into a traditional hierarchical structure, I just make sure that any file I save or download has a meaningful long name (including the date) and rely on a search to find any file I need.

No it doesn't.

Can you be more specific? What exactly doesn't do what you expect? What are you aiming to achieve? Can you share a screen shot of what you have?
I have a full hierarchy of folders and files to keep things tidy and organised.

Thanks for your reply. I will share some screenshot on Sunday when I go to the café to do the editing etc for my friend that I use Google Drive for.

I have nothing even approaching a hierarchy.
