Newbie seeks ISA advice
Please forgive me if this question is a bit dumb. I hope someone here can explain the basics. I have 2 Cash ISAs maturing on 31 May, both with Coventry BS. One is an Active Loyalty Fixed Isa and the other is just a Fixed ISA. Both amount to £37k in total. The nice lady on the phone told me that I could reinvest in the…

Anyone transferred a cash isa to Zopa?
A few weeks back someone posted that their transfer to Zopa had failed. Apparently this was due to a fault in Zopa's system whereby it couldn't accept an amount that differed to that declared during the opening process but on closing the transferring account, interest gets added thus resulting in a discrepancy between the…

Plum feedback, how can you transfer in from plum
Hi, can anyone give feedback on Plum Cash ISA? There are no bank account details. How can I fill the transfer-in form from Plum transfer to another provider? Is that easy to withdraw? I am kind of doubt about continuing to use IT. Thanks

S & S ISA, rules, tax and things
If I have a S&S ISA and grow the value by buying and selling, I don't pay CGT or tax on dividends, ok. Is there a limit on how far the ISA can grow? Suppose I just want to sell the shares and hold the money there as cash? Does that make any difference? If say the original 20k becomes 40k, can I transfer 20k to "somewhere…

Keeping LISA, SIPP and ISA with the same broker
Does anybody keep all tax sheltered accounts with the same broker to minimise fees? If the broker has a maximum yearly fee, and it is across all accounts, it could make sense for investors who's total holdings are large enough, but separate accounts are not. However, I know the main 3 mentioned here (DODL, AJbell and HL)…

Lloyds fixed 2 Year Cash ISA
Morning, Just a couple of quick questions... Last month I opened the above account with 5K & will be topping up shortly with the remaining 15K of this year's allowance... 1) Can I transfer in any other maturing Cash ISAs at any point during these 2 years 2) Will I just be able to add to this same cash ISA during the 25/26…

Can you have multiple ISAs with Shawbrook?
As title, I can't see anything in their terms that says no. Reason I ask is that I was just wondering - since the ISA rules about how many you can open per year have changed - and how Shawbrook seem to allow deposits through out the term, theoretically could you open say 3 year and 5 year fixes with the minimum deposits…

"Full transfers out for current tax year, partial for previous tax years" meaning
Looking at Plum's cash ISA T&Cs, it says: "Only full transfers-out for the current tax year are
accepted. Partial transfers-out are accepted for previous tax years." What exactly does that mean? Say I open up that ISA now and put in £5k, I assume it means that if I want to transfer some out later this tax year I have to…

Allowance rules
I have £20000 in a fixed rate ISA that ends in July 2024. If the rate drops dramatically and I want to move that to a new ISA, I presume that is my £20000 allowance for the year 2024 or does it not count as its ISA to ISA - and I therefore have another potential £20000 allowance??

ISA compound interest
I am about to open my first ever ISA.-for a fixed 5 year term. I’ve completed the online form with UBL as theirs was the highest interest. However I noticed in the bumpf it stated the ISA does not compound interest. Is this normal for ISAs -or are there some that do? Also the account opening is still pending -no funds…

Flexible ISAs: Current year subscriptions can no longer be replaced in a different ISA
This came up in a thread on the main savings board, but I thought it worthy of its own thread, as several forumites make use of ISA flexibility to move money between their various ISAs and it has been the subject of quite a few threads in the past month or so. Original thread is:…

Clarification needed on 90 day SAYE shares to ISA transfer.
Hi all. I am aware that on maturity of my SAYE scheme I am able to transfer some shares directly to my ISA, however cannot find any definative answer as to how the transfer value is determined. The HMRC guidance page explains that the shares must be transferred within 90 days and will count towards my annual £20K limit,…

How do Flexible (Easy Access) ISA's work with the New Rules (24/25) ?
I appreciate that Easy Access Flexible ISA's have previously given you the opportunity to: * Add in cash (into Easy Access Flexible) up to the ISA limit (£20k) * Take it all out again * Add back in (same account) within the same Tax Year (up to £20k) My question is, now that you can subscribe to multiple cash ISA's in the…

Old child trust funds: reinvesting and sharing
Hi have 3 children aged 16 14 and 9. The older two have child trust funds which I’m in the process of locating. The younger one missed out as she was born too late. I’m trying to come up with ways to make this fair and equal for all of them and wondered about dividing the total amount across both trust funds by 3 then…
