Food pricing crisis?
In the news at the moment. It does seem as if you don't really shop around then food pricing must be pinching the average household. I'm not on a tight budget and find a combo of Hello Fresh and weekly Sainsbury online order my most efficient route, with limited time and spend around £120 a week in total. I used to be Aldi…

Am I the only person with Nectar Price App Issues?
When I use the nectar prices app I have to walk around the store to get it to place me inside the store and allow the shop. I have used Sainsburys wifi and my own 5g and eventually i get it to confirm my location in the store after trying every position in each isle. I get the error message "please try again later" as the…

Asda Grocery refund not being applied back to the gift card
Quite a long one this one, so here goes. My work offer an incentive whereby if you buy your gift cards for certain UK supermarkets, you get a bit of cashback. I use ASDA religiously and can get anywhere between 3-5% cashback on my shopping, which is a big help with COLC and all that. I noticed that recently, whenever…

Just Eat plus
Hi all. I'm tempted to join Just Eat plus as it appears to offer 3 months of "FREE" delivery for just £5.99. This sounds too good to be true.Does anybody know if the FREE bit includes service charge, Just Eat's fee AND the take away companies fee ?

Tesco - cheaper prices for online delivery
Why are Tesco offering cheaper prices for some items if you order them online for delivery? I am an OAP who cannot warrant a full shop being delivered - and I don't want to anyway - so have to pay the full price in their shops. My current ran tis that Muller Light yoghurts are £2.50 if you order online but £4.00 if you buy…

Tesco home deliveries - are they dumping short-dated stuff on customers at home?
Yet again a load of short-dated produce this morning, all Best Before 13 July (tomorrow). Makes an absolute mockery of Tesco’s claims that their pickers always select the best items and the longest dates. Happens very regularly, and my guess is that pickers are being instructed by store managers to get rid of the short…

ASDA Pricing model
I get the feeling that asda have done something to their pricing. Im sure that before most of the prices ended in a 5, 0 or 9 but nowadays it seems that they are all mixed up like £2.57 or £1.03 this makes it hard for me to compare prices and to keep a mental track of how much i am spending as i go around the shop Am i…

What's the strangest / quirkiest vending machine you've seen?
I was at a suburban railway station yesterday that had a vending machine selling frozen ready meals: These days I know it's fairly common in rural areas for farms to have vending machines for dairy products and fresh fruit/veg. I've even seen a vending machine for farm-fresh milk in quite an urban shopping centre. 20 years…

The Great 'shrinking food and other items' Hunt
The Great 'shrinking food' Hunt Revisited We featured this hunt back in 2010 (see original thread), but it seems manufacturers are up to their old tricks again by dropping products’ sizes while keeping prices the same (one forumite's spotted loaves of bread dropping from 800g to 750g). We want to know which foods you've…

Convert rewards points into vouchers I can use in store
Good morning, I have amassed a number of reward points but I don't spend money with any of the Tesco reward partners. I would prefer to convert them into coupons to use for my Tesco shopping. Does anybody know how to do this please? Thank you kindly.

Sainsbury's gift card conversion to coupon bug
I regularly convert a £400 Sainsbury's gift card to coupons on my grocery account because I get 5% off the gift cards with my work scheme. I've always been suspicious that I'm missing coupons here and there and not realising. A few months ago, I finally decided to check, I added up the coupons and it was only £330, £70…

Sainsbury's coupons not refunded automatically for grocery orders with cheaper substitutes
I found this out from a Facebook post and went to look on my Sainsbury's receipts, only to find, it had happened to me too! If you use coupons to buy Sainsbury's shops, to the point where the shop is basically all coupon, a few quid cash, if they can't fulfill a particular item and replace with significantly cheaper, they…

Toilet roll - I think I need a testing nerd lol
Has anybody ever actually done any testing on the genuine 'best value' toilet roll? They all look pretty much the same on the shelf but; Some have smaller inner tubes, so more sheets per same size roll Some are thicker sheets, or better quality sheets, so you use fewer sheets per 'visit' So it's not just a case of buying…

Minerals in bottled water
Reading the label of bottled water ( Buxton and Nestle Pure Life in this case but the question applies to all ) I wondered whether the listed minerals are of more 'benefit' than those in tap water.
