I recenlty got into buying quality street chocolates. But they are £2.50 to £3.00 for small box. I missed the chrismas tins they do. Is there a shop that still does them. the big tins i mean. Or roses by cadburys whch are a bit cheaper.

They're not sold outside of Christmas. You can still get tins online, but they're more expensive per kilo than just buying the boxes.
Apparently £2 a box in Asda right now (https://www.trolley.co.uk/product/quality-street-carton/EYQ760) - I think checking Trolley for the cheapest cartons and stocking up if they're on special is your best bet at the moment.

Pretty sure I saw some adverts from Amazon offering the tins, no idea on priceMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -
Amazon is a bit crazy when it comes to prices, market forces prevail.
Trolley is always updating me with the price of my favourite jar of pickle. Has been as high as £10 on Amazon! No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Should be able to pop into Asda tomorrow. The trolley.co.uk website looks good. Thanks. It does say though that the price of £2 is the online price. Will have a see.
Out of interest had a look at how the trolley site makes any money as theres no adverts. Looks like it was nearly closed but now is saved.
Says "To fund development, we're currently generating revenue with Google AdSense between pages within the Trolley.co.uk search results." Anyone know what that means.

Did the annual "choose your own" tin refill at John Lewis. Broke my personal best record by getting 1.8kg into a 1.2kg tin.
Tips worth sharing:
1) They don't go by weight of tin any more. The rule is that the lid has to close, and that is all, hence you can "go for it."
2) Go at the quietest times if you can, so that you can fill your tin in peace. The trick to cramming maximum in is to fill it, then put the lid on and tap on counter / shake it vertically, so that the sweets fall to the bottom and fill the air gaps. Keep filling and tapping until there are no gaps - fill in the final holes by hand and keep checking the lid fits. This is why it pays off at quiet times as you are not dodging anyone and staff are not watching to pass comments.
3) Although it is £15 to refill a tin, if you can get it over the weight mark, it works out roughly the same price as the "bargain" tins the supermarkets sell. 4 of those is roughly the same weight and price. For me, it is worth it, as we don't get left with a pile of toffees that nobody wants, so no wastage.
4) There's nothing to stop you decanting sweets at home to create gift bags and going back and doing it again.
Next year I'm going for 1.9kg...4 -
^^ I was going to go M&S 1.2kg this year but I am now tempted by this. Tesselate the green triangles and golden hexagons at the bottom and take it from there, small to large at the top. The coffe cremes alone are worth the trip to JL.
Looking at the "mystery" new sweet to be introduced in December - the light green packaging suggests pistachio
.
