Here’s where the story ends…
And another way of life begins? Another old tune that’s been stuck in my head this week. No more ninety months for me, aiming for four years from now so forty eight months. I have rejigged my budget as food prices and prices in general have gone up. Hopefully giving myself a reasonable amount to spend will stop me…

PCN received for driving in a bus lane but issued 16 days after the offence. isn't it 14 day limit?
I took a wrong turn and drove in a bus lane on 6th December, got a ticket from Cov City council for it today 23rd December. The date of notice is 22/12/25 which is 16 days after the offence. Isn't there a rule that they must issue within 2 weeks? If so, what do I need to do to get it cancelled? Thanks

New SIPP with II - Does the £100 offer mean transfer £16,000 or £20,000 net to qualify?
I was planning on opening a new SIPP in January with II anyway and can see that II has an offer that if you transfer £20,000 into your SIPP you qualify for the £100. I know I could contact them to clarify this and I probably will have to for confirmation but wondered if anybody knew whether if I opened a new SIPP with them…

Santander Amazon opening offer x2
I opened a new Santander Everyday account last week after seeing the £30 amazon offer just for opening (no switch required). Now they’ve launched a new £100 Amazon offer, this time requiring debit card transactions. I’ve looked at the T&Cs quickly, but can anyone confirm if I could go for this new offer as well?

Can't Find My Fuse Tariff
My Fuse tariff is "Fuse Energy August 2025 Fixed (13m) V5" which is not listed on MSE Energy. Obviously the comparison is pretty useless unless its against the correct unit rate and standing charge. It works fine on Uswitch so maybe MSE don't want my referral money any more ;)

Lifetime Mortgage
I have sold my house subject to contract. I was viewing new houses in an effort to downsize as my current mortgage has £56,000 outstanding, and was going to port a reduced mortgage to the new property. However, my employer has gone into administration and all staff, including myself, have been made redundant with immediate…

Making my house a home and my life my own
I am long overdue a new diary as I have just read the first line of my last one. I was married, in my previous house with a much larger mortgage. I hadn’t realised that this was still the same one. I will add all the financial bits and my plans over the coming days, but the title says it all really.

Electric switch terminology - gangs and ways
I'm planning on getting the house rewired and I need to be sure of the terminology. I get that gangs are the number of switches on a plate, and ways are the number of locations a light can be controlled from. However there's one switch I'm not sure how to describe. It's a 2 gang switch and each of the 2 lights that it…

A UKPC/DCB Legal pattern is now emerging, the same as the Highview/CP Plus/GroupNexus/DCB Legal pattern that has evidenced itself over the past few weeks. * Court claim issued * Defence completed * Hearing date given * Witness Statement deadline dictated by the court * Phone call from DCB Legal to defendant * Email to…
