London hotels - staying "tonight" advice
The mythical issue of last minute discounts on central London hotels. I detest the thought of having to pay £100+ for a decent room for the night but aware that you get what you pay for in the middle of London and can't stay too far out of town Have downloaded apps recently such as "Hotel Tonight" and "Booking Now", which…

Edinburgh Festival
Planning a trip to Edinburgh for festival. I know it will be expensive to stay in the city but where is a good place to search for on the outskirts with good transport links or not too far in a taxi. We need accommodation for 4 adults. Last time we went it rained solidly for 3 days and it would have been good to have a…

travelodge system down - cant stay
has anyone any experience of this? Didn't have a reservation, tried to get a room for the night. The system was down so they wouldn't book me. not best pleased. surely they have to have an alternative process, there must be lots of motorway drivers who decide at last minute to stop. what do they do?

[Request] Kellogs Grownups go Free code
I was wondering if anyone had a spare code from Kellogs cereal that allows a free adult admission with a paying child. Kids have got their hearts set on going to Legoland after hearing how good it is from their cousins, but it's a bit out of my budget for a family of 4 if I factor in cost of food and travel there. Thanks…

Flamingoland - where should we stay nearby?
We have tickets to Flamingoland and are hoping to go one weekend before the school holidays. It's a bit of a trek for us so thought we'd stay nearby either/both the night before/after, but we're struggling to find anywhere cheap. I've checked out the Sun caravan park deals, but nothing on the dates we can do. Otherwise I'm…

Is it rough on West Coast of Scotland?
I'm planning my August holiday and quite fancy Scotland. I usually go to Nairn of Pitlochry but this year I want to try west Coast as I think there would be more to do. The problem is the holiday parks are priced so much cheaper on this side of Scotland, the reviews are very mixed and I read there are security guards…

Anyone familiar with Newquay, Cornwall?
Hello everyone. I live in Dublin, and have just discovered that there are regular flights to Newquay. Yay! Cornwall is a place I've always wanted to visit, but it just was too far from the usual hubs that Dublin Airport serves. So now..... I can go! Just a few days away maybe four or five, want to see Padstow and St.…
