London Theatres and Hotel
I'm thinking about a possible solo trip to London specifically to take in a few shows. Would be January 7th for minimum 3 nights, possibly 5. In my age group, solo and not knowing my way around London, main criteria I think is accommodation close to theatreland (which I know will undoubtably be more expensive) but I really…

Booking.com charging City Tax that is not due
For a recent stay near Fakenham in Norfolk, England, Booking.com have taken £7.92 in "City Tax". There is no City Tax in this area. They messaged me to say it was usually taken by the accommodation on arrival. It was not, it was taken by Booking.com as part of my payment. The B&B manager confirmed there was no City Tax due…

There seems to be a lot of different markets. We were going to do the Hyde Park one, but not sure about having to pay for food tickets etc.…

Holiday Home in January 2026
Hello all I may have missed anything relevant in the broad search criteria I used, so apologies in advance if this is the case. I am ideally looking for a 2 week stay in January (approx starting 12 January to 26 January although dates might change slightly). However, everywhere I have looked seems to be a fair few £'s, so…

Can't get cashback from super.com
Just booked a hotel in Birmingham through super.com for the first time. They offered a £10 cashback, but looks like you can only get the cashback if you're a member, which costs £11 per month (that wasn't mentioned up front). Anyone else used this website and got cashback ?

Money saving in Glasgow
We're planning a few days in Glasgow early next month. I've got some plans on places to go as I want to see the art galleries specifically. Any other 'must do' ideas? Also, places to eat that are good value for money. We particularly enjoy Italian but are quite flexible so Indian, Chinese, British cuisine or fish and chips…

Butlins weekend booked today. All shows and activities fully booked.
Just wondered if anyone knows my consumer rights regarding a refund. I’ve just booked a festive weekend at butlins in a fortnights time. I did ring up earlier today to ask if it was possible that all the pantomimes, shows and events would be fully booked and was told that it wasn’t peak season so probably not. The staff…

Cancelled room refund
We booked and paid for a refundable room for next February with Premier Inn to attend a family party along with other family and friends. Premier Inn cancelled all bookings stating the hotel was being taken over and they would contact us within the next 3 days with alternative accommodation or a refund. That was 3 weeks…

Warner Hotels - £50 off
Even if you've stayed before sign up to their email list and you'll get a £50 off per room. You can use the discount code they send even if you log in as a previous customer. Better than the £30 voucher they send after a stay but you can't combine the codes. https://www.warnerhotels.co.uk/signup

Hotels in the uk
Any tips on booking hotels? It appears like travel lodge and premier inn dominate the market but they are clever and charge extra for later notice. I guess I'm looking for a comparison site to find a hotel in an area. Be good to have some filters to narrow it down. Any recommendations?

Cancellation insurance for NYE event in UK
I'm about to book for a New Year event in a UK hotel. Once paid for, it is not possible to cancel and get a refund. I'm looking to get some kind of insurance that would cover cancellation for a few basic reasons such as medical issues or sever weather. Most polices I've found include the kind of options you would see in…
