Campsites in Scotland off-season opening?
Hi, I'm thinking of getting a tent and have my eyes on a large one, the benefit of being this time of year is that it's on sale. However I don't know if campsite's close for part of the year? I've not camped since the 80's so I'm clueless. Are there campsites in Scotland that are year-round, or do they close for several…

Book direct with hotel or book with booking, com
I booked to go to Blackpool in October but the place I booked didn't have the extra night I wanted so I've looked for places for one night and I have three places in mind but is it best to book direct or use booking.com. The first hotel if you book direct with them it says you need to pay a £20 deposit for damages and you…

Can I book a flight for somebody else ?
A neighbour has asked if I could book them a flight to Northern Ireland. They want to go on a day trip to Belfast, from Newcastle, so it would be with Easyjet. I tried to suggest they visit a travel agent but they're not that keen. I obtained prices online for a certain day and just as an example I called into a local…

Money Moral Dilemma: Should the friend who was late for our trip share his train delay compensation?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks… I recently went on a canal boat weekend with some friends. We live all over the country, so met at the boat hire location. One friend took the train instead of driving, and his train was delayed, meaning we couldn't leave until he arrived. He later told us he'd claimed…

London Open house festival - rare buildings
FYI: The website crashed the moment it opened at 12pm and all the tickets to go to the BT tower & BBC went in 11 minutes. I am gutted! I wish they would run a few more of these sessions.

Ryanair preventing me from emptying my wallet
I have money visibly in my Ryanair
Wallet and I am being prevented/stopped from withdrawing it by Ryanair. Every
time I try to withdraw it a POP UP blocks the screen saying I booked through a
3rd party! This is NOT TRUE - the Ryanair flight was booked solely by ME. I
have spoken to several disempowered beings and I have…

Bitecard - does it still exist?
Many years ago DH and I obtained free Bitecards, which gave a 10% discount at some catering outlets on mainline rail stations. I've used mine fairly recently, but now can't find it, and wonder if I failed to pick it up. Can't find any way of applying for a replacement, site times out etc. So is this now defunct?

Non-clone towns south of Birmingham
Any interesting places to visit for a bit of shopping and tourism that aren't clone towns in the south? Clone towns are ones where it's just all the same chain shops and nothing much unique, like 99% of places in the UK.
