Help: Chester Zoo

I am looking to take my kids to chester zoo this friday/saturday and was hoping to find a good deal.

The best I found is £75 from loveit(2 adults, 1 3 years old, 1 less than a year)

car parking looks free which is good.

First time visiting so would prefer the full day as the afternoon deal might not be enough

Anything I can do to get a better deal? and is there anything I should be aware of to avoid surprises?

Thank you

Definitely check the zoo’s own website for any current offers or family tickets before booking. Also worth checking whether parking and any extras are included, so there are no surprises on the day. Hope you have a great visit.

Chester Zoo is massive. Definitely plan for a full day - when we went even that was a bit tight, although that may be because my daughter spent an hour watching the orangutans playing.

Parking definitely free, need to get there early to avoid a long walk to the entrance. It is "whole day" visit, we generally get there at opening and don't leave till chucking out time and that is with many visits under our belts. That price looks unbeatable I reckon, discounts are pretty rare. Loads of food outlets but as with all attractions a bit pricey, plenty of picnic space though. Download the app for the zoo map. The 3 year old will love the Landrover with the locusts !

My BFF used to live in Chester and we visited the Zoo a lot. It’s really lovely. One year we went in February and the only baby animals were tapirs. They were super cute

    Have a good time

Personally, I think its too big to do it all in 1 visit and needs a serious remodel so it flows a bit better.

The newer Africa section is quite a nice design as is the Islands - but the rest can feel like a bit of a maze at time
