TV licensing law (beyond the basics)
I know that you need a TV licence if you want to receive live TV programmes or use iPlayer. And that it is the premises which are licenced, rather than individuals. So... presumably it would be legal to go to a friends' house or a pub or your work (or any building with a TV licence) and download whatever you wanted from…

We're giving serious thought to cancelling our Sky after goodness knows how many years with them and switching to a competitor. Haven't decided which one yet but obviously appreciate we need to decide this before we go ahead. The queries I've got are this - what happens to the dish? Do Sky come and get it or does it just…

Please help me identify this film!
I'm trying to identify a classic film that I half-watched several years ago. (Came in from the pub, saw a bit, fell asleep, don't remember much!) I've searched for everything I know about the film and come up with nothing. It's as if it doesn't exist! Some of these memories are probably wrong, but I'm hoping that someone…

Sky TV!
HI, Yesterday our Sky HD box went pear shaped. By pear shaped I mean BBC 1 & 2, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 all went OFF. All of the other Sky channels that we subscribe to worked fine. I put this anomaly down to the shoddy weather! Today when I got back from work, I tried the TV. The same issues occured so, as we have a…

Free view through Sky box
My daughter has been asking for Disney life and because I’m mean, I said, “Yeah sure, if we can cancel Sky.” Generally, the only reason I have Sky is for Disney and nickelodeon channels, but recently they haven’t been watching them as much as watch a lot of Netflix and YouTube. If I cancel Sky, can I still watch freeview…
