Best TV, Broadband. Telephone Packages?
Hello, be gentle, I'm new here! I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I'm green when it comes to this as my STBXH has dealt with it for years. I'm moving out in January and will be on a strict budget. I don't want to pay too much for this lot, as I'm not a big TV watcher but would like fast broadband (fibre?)…

Cancelled sky-where now?
So after having an 18 month deal with sky in HD for boxsets, movies, sky sports and fibre broadband for £60 a month, the price has now doubled to 120 which I knew it would when the contract ended. I called last week to try and negotiate a better deal, and they knocked it down to £90. Which I still feel is a bit more than I…

Leaving Virgin TV; replacement options?
Hi all I've been a Virgin Media customer for a long time with the package (broadband/phone/TV). Cost has been creeping up and I'm now at around £60/month for basic TV, evening calls free and 100MB broadband. Happy with broadband service, but want to: - Replace landline phone with VOIP service (to keep my number) over the…

Saturday night winge about TV Licence!!!
Just a wee moan, as this really bugs me . I will start the post by saying I think the BBC is worth every single penny we pay for it, I just hate the way it's dealt with. 1) Firstly when I bought my first house for the first weeks I only watched NETFLIX, because I wanted to split my 3 big annual bills up. The letters I got…

TV license harassment
Don't know if this is in the right place but I think it is. Anyway we don't have a TV licence. We don't need one as although we have a TV the only things we do are play video games, watch DVDs or Blue-rays, watch Netflix and Crunchyroll (both don't require a license). Our TV has for some strange reason never been able to…

TV License - but it's to keep burglars away
I can't find anything on this. If I use the TV only to keep burglars at bay when I go out, and only the cat is watching, do I need a license?

Cheapest way to add Netflix to Sky
I was told by Sky before Netflix went live on their Q boxes that it would cost £5 a month to add it When I called up on the go live day, they told me it would only cost £5 but I would a) have to resign for 18m b) I would lose all my existing discounts Not bothered about ) but b) meant I would have to pay an extra £22 a…

On 29th September paid for our excessive regressive TV Tax on line by debit card. Received a letter on 11th October saying they had a problem, their end not mine, with taking payment and could I set up again. Duly did so, but this time DD. Then received a letter on 13th saying my house was unlicensed and had been since…

Freesat - multiple TVs
I am meant to be moving soon to an area that has no cable provision, or Freeview. It doesn't even have an aerial (obvs because nothing would be picked up on it!) I had never heard about Freesat until the kind people at Freeview told me (after confirming I will be in the very small percentage of areas they don't cover). The…
