Record and catch-up TV
For more years than I can remember we had sky for sports etc. My husband passed away a few months ago, and I have now cancelled the Sky contract as I only really watch terrestrial stations. Is there a way I can pause and record or watch catch-up TV without paying a monthly fee? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

New flat... Got tv.... But no serial socket!!
Hi folks, daft question maybe but I'm clueless about these things. Moved into new flat, hunted high and low, no aerial socket..... Landlord later tells me there's never been a socket in there but he could perhaps run a cable from elsewhere ( it's one huge house separated into flats really). I've got a tv with freeview but…

Sky TV - accepted offer, but they still cancelled
I had the full Sky Q TV service at a 50% deal which was due to end this week. My monthly cost was around £40, this included 1 Sky Q Mini at £12. I gave my 31 days notice (31 days ago) and was given a couple of offers to stay, none of these were close to what I was paying (or willing to pay). On the sky.com/mydeal page,…

Hi, Please help, we have just moved into a rented house and we are having trouble figuring out the best way to get our TV's up and running. Currently we are in contract with talk talk for TV and Internet and when I phoned to do the house move we upgraded to fibre which has been installed. The master socket for the router…

PVR with wi-fi
We've had a Humax PVR for years, and it's generally been fine; however, over the last couple of years it's taken to occasionally, and for no apparent reason, forgetting to record programmes it's supposed to record. Efforts to convince it to behave have proved fruitless. Therefore we were contemplating buying a new PVR. The…

Sky and Now tv
Currently I'm paying over £100 for my Sky TV and Broadband package. I'm currently looking how I can greatly reduce my monthly outlay. One area where I can make savings is on Sky sports, I'm currently paying £28 for the full package + sports HD, so will be £30 a month. I only really watch football & this is usually just…

Is a SkyQ self setup possible?
I currently have SkyHD. My sister has just moved into a new house and there was a SkyQ box left behind which she isn't going to use, and I wouldn't mind having. I have read it uses a different LNB so if I take the LNB from that house along with the box and swap it with mine, anyone know can I do a self card pair like with…

Need help with Sky
My 18 month contract is ending on 19 November 2018 with Sky and I am seriously debating whether to quit (been with them since Dec 2012) as most of the TV I watch is on Freeview. The only thing I really want from Sky is the Sky Sports F1. Most of the time I watch YouTube or catchup TV through BBC iPlayer etc. Also I really…

Smart TV set up - payment card essential?
Hi, can anyone tell me if I have to add a payment card to a smart tv, or can we watch it without? We’d considered a Roku, but apparently that needs a debit card else you can’t complete set up. We’re a small group of carers, clubbing together to buy a smart tv for elderly lady,we’ve been using our Ipads to play things on…

Plus net new order, still waiting
PLUSNET What we want is our contract to start today, 10 October, as promised, not on 23 October. We decided to change from SKY broadband and phone service because of problems with sound interference on home phone for three weeks. Changing to Plusnet was decided on as we have used it before. Have waited two weeks for the…

What’s a 3D fan to do?
I’ve been with Sky for over 20 years. Ditched sport last year and haven’t regretted it. I sometimes watch Sky Atlantic but really it was the movies I was after. Over the past 6 months or so, the new Sky movies selections have been dire. A couple of examples are Paddington2 and The Post being on Prime and not on Sky. I have…

Sky Original Bundle?
I've just found out that my parents have been paying £23.50/month/full price for the Sky Original package for many years (which no longer seems to be available and was replaced with a cheaper Entertainment package for new customers some time ago) Questions: 1. If we cancel/suggest leaving, what would be a decent retention…
