Formula 1?

We’ve had sky for about 20 years. Basic package currently £33 per month approx. The only reason I’ve kept it is my husband watches Formula 1. We like to record programmes too.
Is sky the only way to watch all of F1 ?

It’s currently the only legal way in the UK to watch all (except the British GP) live.0

You can watch it on NowTV too, but it's not particularly cheap.
BTW what exactly do you get for your £33? It may be that you're paying way too much anyway.0 -
I negotiated a while back. It’s basic package with £10 for HD which then gets me F1 included.0

Yeah its a legacy F1 in HD thing they used to do which you can move away from but it'll be more expensive to do so.
The nearest equivalent modern equivalent is Entertainment with F1 on top but that'll be closer to £40 a month.0 -
I did see an advert for F1 on nowtv in the ad break of the ch4 coverage.
I think it was over £200 to watch it (and that was discounted) :eek:0 -

Actually the nine month season pass is £195 for all Sky Sports channels, but if you only want the races, today's is also on Sky One so only a NowTV Entertainment Pass required, the Sports passes at £25 a month and / or the £10 day passes may / can out cheaper if you plan ahead and the British GP will be 'free' on CH4.0 -
OP, cheapest is as above - Now TV 9 month sports pass for £195, works out at about £22 a month. However, only gives you access to sports plus you may need a Now TV box if you don't have a device with the app on. If you have recording function you'd lose that, plus any other sky channels you access. £33 a month isn't bad really - that's a bit less than the normal price for sky sports monthly pass on Now TV.0

Appears the Chinese GP will also be on Sky One.0

I am a big fan of F1 but I found in previous years that Channel Four's coverage of only showing about half of the GP's live suited me.
This thread has made me realise that only highlights are being shown this year except for the British GP. Big disappointment!
Last night I watched the highlights having not being told the result and it was fine with me. I suppose I will have to put up with this from now on. I don't suppose this is an option for the OP's husband?0 -
Free on Channel 4 yesterday from Bahrain, as was the one two weeks ago from Australia. The highlights are fine, its too long and boring most races anyway to sit though it all lap by lap.Actually the Bahrain race was pretty good , at least cars can overtake each other now. I don`t think I ve seen so much overtaking for years. Whatever the new rules did , it livened it up a bit
So long as you avoid the BBC doing their best to spoil it giving out the results then I m happy enough with Channel 4 s highlights with the best reviewer David Coulthard.0
