Deleted thread
... I'm a bit concerned. A non defamatory and evidenced thread re the above subject matter was posted yesterday on this MSE sub-forum and had some good constructive feedback and ongoing debate. Then out of the blue the thread is summarily deleted without good reason or explanation, and without me being notified by either…

Thread reporting?
Thread reporting - this is not a post about any specific thread. Who on here is proud they report threads? what do you think that thread is better locked or deleted? Conversely - who never reports threads no matter what the subject is? Why do you think this is better than censorship? Is there anything you would ever report?

Article on complaining to the Financial services ombudsman
I have just read the MSE article on complaining to the Financial services ombudsman (article /reclaim/fight-back-fos/) and believe that there is an omission which should be added to avoid confusion. FOS will not look at a complaint when you are not a customer of the firm you are complaining about. I know this as I have a…

Change to last month's report in Credit Club
I went back into my most recent credit club report, and noticed it had my current address listed as somewhere I've not lived for ages. Went back to the PDF of it I saved previously, it had my correct current address and the other address was in the history where it should be. Saved the PDF again from the online one, it…

"Wombling" and the law...
I wish to make a request for MSE to update and revise the information it provides on one of its most famous (or infamous) topics - namely "wombling". I feel it is (at best) irresponsible and arguably negligent for MSE to so vocally promote this activity when its legality and appropriateness is still in doubt. The main…

Credit Club getting less accurate
Hello, when I first signed up for the MSE Credit Club the report I got back matched up with reality but it has become more divorced from my actual situation as my finances have improved. I think there are a few possible reasons for this 1. my Tesco Bank products (two current accounts, two CC accounts) aren't seen by the…

Front page loads, then disappears and loads again
Recently, when I go to the MSE home page, the page downloads and I can see everything, then it immediately all disappears and downloads all over again. It seems to redirect to another copy of itself with some kind of tracking reference in the URL. It's not too bad when I'm at home on my fast broadband, although it's a bit…

MSE Credit Club report not updating
Hello, I just wanted to say that my MSE Credit report has failed to update, Any suggestions?

Honest question - what do we have to agree on to get politics removed from The Money Savers Arms
I hate going to the money saving arms. Brexit is a cancer in there and the general political debate there is depressing. It's at the stage where I either - 1. come to MSE less often 2. given troll farms etc, I have no faith that most of posters are legit. Can MSE be 100% confident the posts haven't been infiltrated? There…

Benefits and Tax Credits forum Sticky
The second post in the work and Benefits forum is a sticky with useful links. Unfortunately it is now very old and many of the links are missing or incorrect. I suggest it may be time for the post to be unstickied and retired. Obviously if someone wants to update it that would be great (but I am not volunteering).

Random extra lines between paragraphs
Is anyone else finding that MSE has started inserting extra lines between paragraphs? One line between paragraphs turns into two and sometimes even three, apparently at random. It's very annoying to read and I have to edit pretty much every single post to remove them. *edit* This post is a perfect example. There should be…

How do I change my username?
Hi. I can see how I can change many of my other details on here, but not my username. I understand it is probably discouraged so people don't do it too often, but I'd really like to change mine. How do I do it? Thanks in advance.

No Spam Button
Just wondering why I never got a spam button when it was brought back. I am on Windows 10 and I have tried logging in using various browsers (IE11, Chrome, Firefox) but still no button. I have also tried all three versions of the forum available to me. Not saying that I would use it very much but I'm starting to feel a bit…

captcha mechanism to post
I was just asked to solve a picture captcha mechanism, as a security measure, before my post would be published There was advice somewhere on the screen, but half obscured, to avoid this in future I should do an antivirus scan. When the first grid was done, another appeared. This happens sometimes, either with an error or…
