I know it's been mentioned elsewhere but not sure I've seen anywhere that it's being dealt with?

MSE is unusable in Portrait mode on my IPad. Constantly reloading and dropping
It works in Landscape but I am not keen on using that mode at all - especially, with the oversize keyboard

Personally, I'll be using MSE  less until (and if) this issue is fixed. 

ETA. And this is in different browsers

Safari on iPad will only load the (ridiculously oversized) mobile mode.

I return once every few days to check if it's fixed and won't be bothering to post on the forum until it's fixed.

I’m so glad this isn’t just me.

iPad with the latest iOS:-
As you say, functionality lost in Portrait orientation, which is the one of choice and always has been. 
Notifications/Inbox/Bookmarks and Profile can’t be accessed in Portrait, which means no logout button.

In Landscape, the problems are:

Oversized keyboard when posting, which means endless scrolling.
Sticky keyboard.
The first word of a new paragraph starts with a lower case letter.
After typing a post and pressing “Post comment” the page freezes, and to move on, I have to refresh the page.
Trying to use the toolbar in Landscape with the oversized keyboard is very difficult. Ditto, trying to post when there are nested quotes, as the constant scrolling is so impractical.


iPad Air with iOS 10.3:-
I cannot get the Forum at all.......just a blank white page.
i can get the main site, though, just not the forum.


iPhone 7, purchased December 2019:-
Same problems as with the first iPad, except that even in Landscape, I cannot access the User CP buttons, which means I can’t log out.


I use Safari, but in desperation I also tried Chrome, Firefox and Dolphin, and these problems are the same.

Could someone say if these problems can be addressed, or are they here to stay? If here to stay, why, when these problems weren’t there before, and aren’t present on other forums?

It might be that you have an older iOS on your iPad. That seems to be the case for me. I keep one of my iPads on iOS 10.3 because I don’t like some of the upgrade features of the latest upgrades.

However, having to using this forum In Landscape mode is driving me nuts.

10.3. 3 is what it tells me mine is, I dont know much about the workings to be honest. But I get nothing in portrait or landscape mode. So I can either use the forums on an android phone or an amazon fire, neither of which are ideal.

If you are not bothered about upgrading your iOS, why not do that? You’ve probably been getting loads of ‘invites’ to upgrade it.
Then you’d at least be able to get the Forum on it albeit only really in landscape mode, (which is far from ideal), at least until they  sort out the portrait mode problems.

I wonder if they will ever sort it so all safari users can come back as normal? Ive tried scanning the threads but have seen no mention of it being fixed

Trouble is, on my iPad, I’ve tried using three other browsers, and it’s the same.🙁🙁🙁
