Problems since new site

Since this was all changed I get a notify of every post which has been put onto my favourite forums.  As there are usually at least 10 posts on each formum every day this is quite a problem.  I have tried to change notifications but still getting them, it used to be a daily email to say that posts had been made but I could, if I wanted, delete and not open page.  Any ideas on how to get rid or will I have to close MSE and join again with a different name?  Thanks

    If you do that you'll just get new notifications plus the old ones! 

     Just go into notifications via your profile page and change the settings

    In an old post click on your name or top right hand corner of the site, little round icon on green background. Next to that is also a bell icon for notifications where you can change the settings.
    finally tea total but in still in (more) debt (Oct 25 CC £1800, loan £6453, mortgage £59,924/158,000)

    I have just gone there and un-ticked just about everything, so probably not done it correctly at all.  What does the option about "my rank" mean?  
    Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:

    Well despite un-ticking lots of boxes I still received three notifications today, so I am completely nonplussed as to what to try next.
    Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:

    When you unticked the boxes, did you save the changes?
    There’s so much scrolling necessary  that it’s easy to miss the Save Changes box.

    You could get yourself PPR'd and that would solve that problem  :D
