I was sure I had PPI on a new look store card but have been told by Ikano finance that I didn't. But I seem to remember there was another provider before Ikano? Can anyone help me out?

Has anyone else had a problem reclaiming PPI which was a joint account with an ex spouse? I can't get in touch with my ex for personal reasons and so Nationwide won't even consider paying me half of what we could potentially get and I have all the documents to prove that I had PPI.
