Claims Guys “no working relationship”
I pursued a PPI claim through The Claims Guys (I know I could/should have done it myself!) In April they told me they’d found PPI on a car loan (hire purchase) with Vauxhall from June 2002. I managed to find the original paperwork and sent this in. I had paid about £120 at the time. I heard nothing more so chased in May…

Rules/time limit on double pay out, incorrect payment from bank etc
Hi guys, I’m not sure if this is correct but I’ve read somewhere that if a bank pays you twice in error (e.g double PPI payout ) or makes an incorrect payment (e.g an overpayment of PPI In error ), the bank has up to 6 years to get the money back. If it’s more than 6 years, then the bank can not get their money back. Is…

ReclaimPPI.co.uk based question
Hi there. I've been helping my parents with their PPI claims. Unfortunately they waited until the very last minute to tell me about them. I went with ReclaimPPI.co.uk because of the lack of time and their flat fee, etc. My parents have paperwork for two loans. They are with Abbey National, and Alliance and Leicester. Both…

Need advice. It is my understanding that only the owner of a property can take out buildings insurance? I own my house, no mortgage and i hold it as freehold. I pay a service charge to a property building company who own the shared courtyard which i use in common with 3 other properties. They do not own my house. They have…

Capital One offered me £25 but dont think this is right - what do I do?
I claimed PPI from Capital One for a credit card- the claim was upheld but last week I got a letter from them saying all I am due is £25. I have had the card for the last 16 years and PPI has been in place the entire time (without me knowing it). The amount seems really low considering how long I have had the card. What…

PPI "Goodwill" Payment
Hi. I'd really appreciate some advice please. I've had a look but I can't see any threads that might help me with my question. In 2008 I bought a car from a certain well known company. I was sold PPI at the time, told that should I ever become ill or unable to pay this policy would cover my payments. I had been ill the…

My husband passed away 6 weeks ago and I received a letter the day after death advising he was entitled to a refund. They have requested his signature to make payment. PAYM text message
I have received a text from PAYM and, having never received this before or know what this is, I'd like to ask if it's a legit text message? The text message stated that someone was trying to send me some money and there was a link to the website. Unfortunately at first glance I thought it was spam and have deleted it. I…

I received an email from Myppirefund today stating I owed them £551 as they stated they helped my claim £2221. I contacted them early this year regarding investigating outstanding PPI. I received forms from them to send off to companies I may have had PPI matters with. As a side note the forms were actually filled out by…

Statute barred debt and ppi
Hello, I wonder if anybody could help, I have 2 statute barred debts. If I made an enquiry for ppi refund through a 3rd party, would this mean that the debt would be "live" again? I appreciate of course that anything claimed would likely be used to reduce the debt. Any advise would be appreciated

Is my case worth an FOS Complaint?
I have had a claim against MBNA open since May 2019 and they have now written to me suggesting the case may take a further 28 days to conclude. Any point in complaining to the FOS as this is likely to take a fair while when they investigate. Thanks

Red Star Invoice...
Good afternoon, I have a number of questions if someone would be kind enough to help me out. Firstly, I got a letter from Barclays a week ago saying that although my previous claim back in Sept 2017 had been declined that they had in fact made an error and I was due compensation (good news) they also said that as I'd used…
