PPI claim for an HSBC credit card
I contacted my bank, HSBC, a few weeks before the PPI deadline as I believe I had PPI on an HSBC credit card but this may be going back to around the early 2000's. HSBC took around 6 weeks to respond to me and say that following their investigations they have found no evidence of PPI on any products I have had with the…

Applied on last day. Got a nice surprise.
Over the last few years I thought they'd be no point applying for PPI refund as I was almost certain I didn't take it out at the time. I don't know what made me decide to apply but the very last day you could make an appeal on a whim I thought what hell. I went on the Which? Website filled in my details and ...well that…

Hello, I’ve never thought about claiming PPI as I have only taken out credit cards and loans since 2013, I was always under the assumption that it was on “older” accounts. Do you reckon I was miss sold it? I know there was a deadline of end of August but, I’ve been working 2 jobs to get rid of the debit & helped care for 2…

2 PPI Claims
Hi there, After clearing out some dusty boxes in the shed back in June 2019 I found two Halifax Loan Certificates I never realised I had which, also seemed to each have a PPI fee on them. I used Resolver to make a claim, and was sent a text message by Halifax to acknowledge my PPI Complaint but never got anything…

Finally found credit agreement and it is in a different name
I wonder if I have missed my chance. I went through Gladstone Brooke’s to reclaim ppi on a loan I had with Abbey National (now Santander) I knew I had ppi on it but the response was I didn’t have ppi with them. Before I go on I have to say Abbey/Santander have real difficulty with my name. It isn’t a particularly unusual…

Looking for some advice. Have 4 loans which had PPI which were with the FOS. The Bank have agreed that PPI was paid on 2 of them. The other 2, which have PPI according to the paperwork, the bank say that no PPI was paid, saying that paperwork does n;t necessarily mean you paid PPI for example, a 30 day cooling off period.…

Ppi commission
I have just had a successful Ppi payout, I used the Claims guys (I realise now that I should have done it myself!) who have now sent their request for payment. I notice they are charging 30% + vat. As I didn't sign the LOA until July this year is this right? I thought it was capped in 2018 to 24%.

PPi tax reclaim resulted in big tax bill
I got a big PPi payout plus £9999 interest as a 20% tax payer. I got taxed £1900 taken off so claimed for the tax back afer reading Martin€‘S money. Hi, I just got a final reply (7th October) from the estate agent who mis-sold me PPI for a mortage. I have just filled in an online form with the ombudsman with all the…

Good morning, a few months ago my 81 year old mother received a PPI mail shot. She filled out the forms, returned them and eventually got two PPI refunds. The PPI company sent her an invoice which she paid. A few weeks passed and she received another invoice, in her mind she got her PPI and paid an invoice, she’s 81 and…

Hi I did my own PPI Claims using the Which consumer rights assistant or the assistant on the moneysavingexpert website. I have had many rejections and for the few I have had a response from, my refunds are of the order of amounts like £1.62. My question is, how do I know and trust that the banks are fully investigating my…

PPI rejections
Is anyone else getting notified that there were PPIs taken out in their name and attached to various accounts only to be told something like 'we have decided there is nothing to pay even though we can't find the original paperwork and here is a leaflet on how to complain through the Ombudsman? I have never knowingly taken…

Cigna AA Family Injury Plan
I have been a policy holder of the above plan for over 15 years. Suddenly Cigna have written to me stating "they are no longer able to provide cover" at the next renewal. They don't give a reason. Has anyone come across such a situation? It may be in the policy conditions that they can stop providing cover at any time they…
