NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank will cancel thousands of customers' PPI policies from midnight on 29 December - if you need a policy, you'll have to find another provider...

    The irony of posting this on a forum devoted to PPI refunds is not lost on me.

    Clearly, these Banks have made a business decision to no longer offer a very toxic product which many people mistakenly believe it was somehow wrong to have in the first place.

    There is no doubt these policies were expensive and limited in scope. I therefore truly doubt there will be "thousands" who still want credit card and loan PPI.
  • Few providers still offer ppi products because of the complaint risk. So those with policies being cancelled may not be able to get alternate cover.
