PPI Claim from accounts post 2013

Options
Hello,

I’ve never thought about claiming PPI as I have only taken out credit cards and loans since 2013, I was always under the assumption that it was on “older” accounts.

Do you reckon I was miss sold it?

I know there was a deadline of end of August but, I’ve been working 2 jobs to get rid of the debit & helped care for 2 members of my family who have been unwell, with strokes/MS & another who suffers from epilepsy.

Thanks

I don't think you even bought it, let alone being mis sold it.

You don't need to "find out" anything.

PPI on credit card and loans was last (mis) sold around 2009.

The last complaint about any PPI was in August 2019.

Nothing in your post suggests you even have a valid complaint, let alone extenuating circumstance for not complaining sooner...

Actually I did need to “find out” because I didn’t know when it was being miss sold to and from.

And i have very good grounds on extenuating circumstances.

The tone of your response wasn’t appreciated, I suggest next time you post, you read through your post so it doesn’t sound as rude as it comes across.

Most lenders had pulled out from offering by 2013 (mostly between 2009 and 2011).

Those are not grounds for overturning the timebar. Typically, it means death of a direct family member or being incapacitated. What you describe is an excuss rather than a reason (as much as it isnt a nice scenario to find yourself in, it doesn't take more than 30 seconds to check your credit card statement to see if it is on there)
Actually I did need to “find out” because I didn’t know when it was being miss sold to and from.

If you didn't take out PPI then you couldn't have been missold it.

No, I don't think you bought it. Plus you've had 6 years to look into it.

Not from what you detailed in your original post.

You simply didn't have mis-sold PPI and, regardless, the deadline for complaint passed in August.

How do you imagine anybody could possibly answer that when you have provided no information whatsoever to assist us to make an informed decision one way or the other?

May I suggest that next time you ask a question in a post you provide the necessary background information to enable somebody to actually be able to answer it.
