Hi all, submitted my claim for misold PPI. I have a loan document showing this sum monthly payments etc another 2 outlining monthly PPI but the bank concerned I dont have enough evidence. Documents show account numbers and payments even the customer assistants signature. I used resolver to submit the complaint. I was an am in full time.e employment with sickness and redundancy scheme and was pressured to sign PPI.Was advised to contact the ombudsman. Any views welcome. Thanks DM

That just confirms you are eligible for the cover. Not that you were missold. Was advised to contact the ombudsman.
There is nothing wrong with having PPI. So, just having it is not going to give you a success. There has to be an wrongdoing identified.
You can go to the FOS but you need to be clearer on what you think they did wrong in the sales process. Maybe telling us why they rejected your complaint may help along with telling us your reasons for complaint.0 -
They said I had insufficient evidence that it was misold. I clearly said to the original sales assistant that it was not required as I had sufficient cover through my work. He refused to accept this I used resolver to submit my complaint using a template mentioned on this page. Thanks for your response. Can you give me any further advice. DM0

What was your cover through work?0

That is a weak complaint reason. Almost certainly you have never evidence to support your allegation. What other complaint reasons do you have?I used resolver to submit my complaint using a template mentioned on this page.
Resolver is just a method send a complaint. No different to writing in, phoning or any other method.
There are strong complaint reasons and weak complaint reasons. Some reasons for missale are so weak that they rarely succeed, even if they are the truth.0 -

If you didn't like the terms you were offered you were free to refuse and go elsewhere...why didn't you? You thought you didn't need PPI yet you agreed to having it...not seeing the reason you did?0 -
So what is a strong reason? I did not need ppi, told the guy I had cover and was advised that if I didn't take it I wouldn't be approved. I had no other alternative at that time.0

6 months full pay then 6 months half pay with redundancy in place0

So, that woudl be a missale if the guy was lying, and not if that was company policy.
Did you state this on your complaint?0 -
Thanks ByanotherJoe I did state this on my complaint. Others have said my reasoning is weak. I've never done this before but paid for something i didn't need under duress.0

If it was a condition of the loan it wasn't, strictly speaking "under duress". You could just have nio accepted the loan.
If it wasn't a condition but they lied, then you should get compensation but proving what was said might be difficult however since you can show you were covered anyway and since you knowingly accepted it, that backs up your position
So, first port of call would seem to be, was it a condition that the company imposed. Do you know?0
