ReclaimPPI.co.uk based question

Hi there.

I've been helping my parents with their PPI claims. Unfortunately they waited until the very last minute to tell me about them. I went with ReclaimPPI.co.uk because of the lack of time and their flat fee, etc.

My parents have paperwork for two loans. They are with Abbey National, and Alliance and Leicester. Both have PPI on the paperwork, and both times my father was self-employed, which is also mentioned on the original paperwork.

The original claims through ReclaimPPI were before the deadline. They are both with Santander, as they have taken over Abbey and A&L.

ReclaimPPI had feedback from Santander saying there are no records regarding store cards/policy payouts for my parents. ReclaimPPI say "You may wish to approach your lender directly with any proof of PPI you might have, but due our proximity to the FCA deadline of August 29th 2019, we are unable to do this for you. We will therefore be ceasing work on this particular claim."

Given we have the original paperwork, how do I proceed? Do I go into a Santander branch? Call a specific telephone number?

My concern is proving that the original claims were made before the deadline. Otherwise could Santander just say "sorry, too late"...

Thanks for any help or nudges in the right direction :)

You just send it to the complaints team at Santander. The branches are not involved in the process.

The deadline was to raise the complaint. Not to have it resolved. So, its not an issue.

Keep the letter from the CMC telling you they have ceased working on that complaint. If Santandar accept the evidence and then go on to decide it was missold, the CMCs have a habit of then trying to claim their share against it despite telling you that they have ended the complaint.
