Person dies whilst waiting for PPI

My husband passed away 6 weeks ago and I received a letter the day after death advising he was entitled to a refund. They have requested his signature to make payment. I have informed them of his death submitting death certificate and copy of his will. I am the sole beneficiary and the claim was made well before he died.
I am hoping that as he made claim prior they still have to pay to his estate.
Any information gratefully received.
