Ocado hike M&S prices
Just a quick note for everybody to be aware that if they’re ordering Marks And Spencer stuff from Ocado, there are at least several items (if not all?) that are more expensive online through Ocado versus in the store on the very same day. No offers on , no specials. Just basic price. I bought a pack of 4 cooked chicken…

am I just too suspicious or doubting?
Am I too suspicious? I had a phone call seemingly from M&S to tell me about a change of delivery date BUT before the M&S lady would tell me what it was about, I had to prove who I was by giving out personal information. I refused. So I wrote to M&S saying that when people phone me I should not have to prove who I am, there…

Poor quality shoes bought online
Buying online is always a risk, this is our story There is an online trader called Freemanlove0169, it turns out they are Chinese, and trade from China surprise surprise,.this wasn't apparent at the time of me ordering a pair of ladies sandals. Eventually when they did arrive and that took a month the quality was so poor…

Energy credit scam with email addresses
Fairly certain this is a scam - an email supposedly from gov.uk saying I'm eligible for £400 energy credit (no reason why) and all I need to do is give them my name, phone number, address, date of birth and a d/credit card number. Just click on this lovely little button..... Ah no. But as I scrolled down I see this email…

Debt collector agency T&Cs
Hello, I have requested the services of a debt collection agency to recover
money that a business owe me. They sent to the owner of the business the usual
letters and texts and made some phones calls but unfortunately it did not work.
They now offered me additional services at quite expensive charge and I have
decided to…

Supermarket till receipts
Over the last few years I have spotted overcharging on my receipts. This mainly occurs on special offers whereby the full price is charged rather than the discounted price. It also happens on sell by date specials. I am not exaggerating when I say this happens at least once every 2 shops. Recently offers from Iceland were…

Easylife Rewards Club - trial membership - SCAM!
We had used EasyLife a few times, and a few months ago I was talked into doing a free trial for membership. I was so bored with the person on the other end as he was clearly just going off a script, that I just agreed. However very shortly after I realised that it wouldn’t be worth me paying the £70 a year membership and…

eDecks, Do not be fooled. Prices are slashed at the expense of good customer service
As a customer of eDecks over the last 6 years or more, I have been there as a loyal customer as they have grown. I have recommended them to many people to help that growth. Yet on the two occasions I have had to deal with after sales they have been appalling. The first occasion I have to quote Consumer Rights Act of 2015…

'We won't bother trying to catch the fraudsters' - MasterCard and the Fraud Police
On 16 August, by chance I checked my credit card and immediately spotted two fraudulent purchases. In fact I later discovered two more. The payments were just 48 hours old. I rang M/c and despite their efforts to avoid talking to customers (have to ever tried ringing them?), I eventually got through. They dropped the line…

Phone scams
Does anybody know of an organisation or body that is trying to get something done about phone scams? Because I would dearly like to join it.

Praise for Plusnet Customer Service/Support EXCELLENT.
Although i'm not good with technology I managed, by following Plusnet's guide, to install my new Plusnet Router. I had no idea (none at all) how to get my smart TV to start working again. I 'phoned Plusnet, not really thinking that they would be able to help with the TV - especially since my internet had connected…

Last chance???
We got 2 Last Chance letters today from DVLA saying "Tax it or lose it" at the top. I thought that was very rude, especially as we had had no V5 and no reminders. OK we should have known but , really, shouldn't we have had notification that the reminders were no longer being sent out? Anyone else had this?

Bank praise - M&S and Paragon
I recently transferred a fixed rate ISA from M&S bank to Paragon Bank. I am astonished how quick the process was. From start to finish it took 4 days for the money to be in my new account, plus one extra day to authenticate my nominated bank account.

Pubs charging service charge on drinks when you buy food as well.
I went to a pub last night and bought a round of drinks at the bar. Then I decided I would get myself a meal as well. It said on the menu "A discretional (sic) 10% service charge will be added to your bill when ordering main meals. Thanks". The barman told me the total, which I found surprisingly high. But there wasn't…

British Gas
Without going into too much detail, I currently have several ongoing issues with British Gas including but not isolated to their abysmal (planned?) customer service. Their latest lapse is the change in the amount of the agreed monthly Direct Debit taken without any form of notification. Advice required please and correct…

£200 to tax a 1.2 Polo
This is absolute daylight robbery when we are using a 21 year old 1.2 Polo. Its petrol, not filthy dirty diesel. Even looked into buying a newer second hand car but the prices are ri diculous and yet I see many ridiculously oversized 4 x 4 style cars cluttering up the roads more and more.

Widespread Text Message Scam Warning
Today I went to Morrisons and scanned a QR code to sign up for a Morrison's card. WIthin minutes I had text messages from a service called Alerts4u saying I would receive text alerts (??) at a cost of £1.50 each. To cancel, I would have to text STOP to a number, which would also cost me £1.50. In the text message there was…

wowcher
Time and time again I feel cheated by Wowcher. Issues started when ordered item did not arrive and instead of refund they credited my account. Then I found that most items do not qualify for payment with credit vouchers. Also these expire (no warnings sent). I keep an eye on any that are nearing end but I swear they…
