Pest controller won't finish the job

I have an infestation of squirrels in my loft. I hired a private pest control firm and they attended the property three times, laying traps and finally doing proofing work. During the final visit, the team left a trap as they weren't confident they had succeeded in their proofing.

The squirrels are still making noise in the loft in the mornings and I am concerned the trap has caught one as there is now a foul smell in the property.

When I booked the first treatment they offered a warranty: 'free call out within 5 days.' 16 days after I've reported the ongoing problem, the company has not returned to the property and repeatedly replies that 'the warranty team will let you know as soon as possible.'

What recourse do I have?



PS For a bonus point how do I convince my neighbours to cut down the tree from which the squirrels are accessing the roof in the first place?

is there a branch from the tree which overhangs your garden that the squirrels use or is the tree totally in their property
