Have been reading through paperwork from A1. Do I need to prove that I had cover in the Form statement? Unfortunately due to a move a lot of stuff has been destroyed and have only really kept 7 years worth (legally the normal limit) but do have letter in 2008 thanking me for renewal which takes me to 2005 as I took out 3…

Old Endowment Mortgage
Many years ago I had an endowment mortgage and was missold it. We had a letter from the company one day asking us to complete a questionnaire, they agreed we were missold and we received a cheque . This was about 10 years ago and before it broke out in the news about endowment mortgages. However, knowing what I do now, I…

Trouble with Sodexo childcare vouchers - Sodexo have got £2000 of our money!
I'd really appreciate some help from anyone who's got any ideas of how to handle this situation. We have been signed up to the Sodexo childcare voucher scheme through my and my husband's work, and have been paying in for around seven years. We had a significant balance (over £2,000) which we hadn't been able to use while…

MPPI - Putting in complaint against broker?
Hi Am looking at putting in a complaint for PPI on our old mortgage which we took out in 1997. Hubby and I have only gone down the PPI complaint route with loans/credit cards but have held back on putting in a complaint for our mortgage PPI as it is pre 2005 which I understand brokers were not regulated? Is it still…

Unenforceable Mortgage Claims
As I understand it, the point of any mortgage mis-selling case against either a broker or lender would be to put you back in the position you would have been if the mortgage(s) had not been sold to you. The goal would be to rid you of any arrears that may have accrued as part of the claim, any negative equity and award…

Mortgagesure lloyds ppi
Hi, I got a job with Lloyds bank in 1996 and got a Mortgage with them the same year, the job I had made me realise that there was little point in PPI ( main job writing off debts, lots with PPI which you couldn't claim on). A friend contacted who I used to work with recently and said she found out she was paying…

Council Tax Summons
I'd be grateful for some advice. I've just received a council tax summons but have never received a bill. I applied on line a few days after moving in and 3 months later received a reminder. My husband phoned the council and were told they would send us a bill. At that point I paid the monthly amount on the reminder…

Any advice would be appreciated. I had a mortgage with Northern Rock and during 2007, I was unemployed and got into serious arrears with the mortgage. I got charges for arrears, a court appearance and also a guy coming to the house to give me advice on making the payments!! I know its been 8-9 years and I sold the house in…

Gah! A council tax summons!
I moved house on 10 July from Leicester council area to Blaby DC. I believed that I had paid the correct pro-rata amount for the year and would be due a refund so I cancelled the DD to prevent a payment coming out on 1 July. Wrong. The summons says I actually owed £53.41. And now I have £51 in "charges" to pay for. Bollox.

Mortgage PPI
Hi - wonder if anyone can assist. I took out my original mortgage in 1996 - was told by the bank that we had to take the ASU cover offered by the bank to get the mortgage. The monthly payment for the insurance was added to the mortgage account and interest charged accordingly. Also when I tried to make a claim on the…

Thanks in…

B&B mortgage with compulsory insurance?
Hi folks. I took out a B&B mortgage in 2000 and to get the specific deal I had to take out two types of insurance (an income protector and some other one that I can't recall now). I kept the income protector policy for six years before cancelling it. I've looked at a number of threads and articles but I'm still not clear…

Council Tax Bands Challenge
I have a neighbour (right next door) who is paying a lower banded Council Tax than me and I challenged unsuccessfully. I now know I wasted my time for one simple element. I purchased my house from people that had lived here for 30 years. The key point is that if your house has not been sold since around 1991 then no stats…

Can I claim PPI on mortgage?
I have finally decided to make a claim for my mortgage PPI. It is nearly 20 years I have been paying the premium and as this payment was simply rolled into my mortgage payment I think I have a case. The article talks about getting your payments back +8% interest. Any idea how this is calculated? Having got a calculator out…
