Iced Tea, has anyone made their own?
I was drinking iced tea (powdered from a pack) at my aunt's in Canada last week and it just occurred to me that i could make my own. Has anyone got a favourite recipe? I have googled and there is a massive range of recipes , so would be nice to hear of some family favourites.

Is Laundry Sanitiser Seasonal?
Laundry sanitisers usually go in the softener compartment and so are usually added during the final cold water rinse cycle. Dettol say that their sanitiser is only effective at temperatures at or above 15°C. So, it seems that it is not usually effective during the winter. I was hoping that it would save me from washing…

Lidl "Dairy Manor" spreadable butter/rapeseed oil stuff

Weekly Flylady Thread 4th July 2022
Welcome to the weekly Flylady Thread. What is FLYLADY? Well, it's our version of the US flylady idea - but we work on the principle that housework is not fun, it's boring, can be time-consuming, is often thankless but, unfortunately, necessary. It's here on Old Style to provide the support we all need and to make the whole…

Cost of Flushing
I just worked out that it cost me £0.02 per litre (£2/m3 for me in Dorset). So a partial flush (4Ltr) of our Loos is £0.08p. We normally would do that about 10 times a day so that's £0.80p/day. So doing 'if its yellow let it mellow' I can reduce that to 4 flushes a day at £0.32. A good saving £0.48p. In a qtr that would be…
