Morning Everyone and thank you for starting us off Scarlet.
The weather has changed and we have had quite a lot of rain.
I am going to a friend's for lunch today.
Hope everyone has a good Tuesday. x8 -
Hello again, it's a dampish start here, but brightening up.
I went to a hospital appointment yesterday with a friend , we had a panic when she rang to say she was having public transport difficulties, but it was all right in the end. We dashed into her clinic 5 minutes before her appointment time.
We still had to wait for a while though. However, she was seen eventually, and I arrived home just after 6 pm.
Today it's our residents'':meeting, and I've got a routine eye test booked - hope I don't need new glasses.
Camelot, pasta tubes in pastry, how awful! Do you think someone in the catering team had invented this horrible stuff for a laugh to see how many people tried it?
Coxy, hope your stiffness has eased off.
Floss, glad you're coming to the end of radiotherapy.
Marie, it's great to see you posting, but I'm sorry to hear about your husband hope he makes a good recovery.
Hope your Mum is doing ok Ruby.
Nice to see you again MuckyMoo.
Izzy sorry to hear that your friends dog is pulling your arms out, you'll be
glad when it goes home.
Hope everyone has a good day, Taff, Ruby, Snoozer and anyone else who is not very well, feel better soon!
Take care folks

Morning from a very bright Newcastle. I'm showered, dressed and having a cup of tea whilst my friends are still silently snoozing. My trip down was uneventful. I detoured into Hexham for a bit of snack shopping but what a mistake. Hexham is even more gridlocked than I remembered. Roadworks plus changes of layout were causing chaos. I found the back way out of Wentworth car park, then found a big new Marks before negotiating road closures on the way back to the A69. Hexham wasn't designed to take the sheer volume of modern day traffic.Road layout changes led me on another mystery tour coming into Newcastle. 😀 It's been 10 years since I lived here, it seems like a lot of places have been turned upside down, roads closed, new roads opened and a general confusion caused. The evening was lovely, good chat, good food, a touch of wine and good friends. This morning I'm back heading south to near Droitwich for two nights with my eldest nephew and family. I anticipate another good time.I hope that everyone is doing well. Lovely to see Marie again.Happy Tuesday to all.10

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, good of you to help out for the appointment. Not sure what was going on with the pasta tarts but most were left on the plates!
Overcast again, more rain due and the garden is quite soggy now. I think we are due a run of good weather now, it's rained enough!
Good to hear from you Marie, sorry your DH hasn't been too well, hope he recovers soon.
Glad you had a good journey Gers but boo to the roadworks. I got caught in the M8 lane closures yesterday when I was coming back from an appointment at a hospital the other side of Glasgow.
Get well wishes to Coxy and RR's DM.
Little one again today, we're going to make fairy cakes which could be messy! She was no bother yesterday, such a happy child.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX

Morning all and thanks for the start Scarlet x Let's hope you don't have to have new specs - so expensive!
Glad you got to Newcastle okay @Gers. We visited Hexham on our Hadrian's Wall practice walk in 2019. We had dinner at the 'Spoons which used to be a cinema - lovely building. Safe onward journey x
You will need to alternate arms @IzzyBee or one will be longer than the other by the weekend!
Enjoy lunch with your friend @iris
I'm WFH today and my friend is coming for a walk and talk at lunchtime. He is still very much missing his DMum and has work woes too. Will be good to get out and blow away the cobwebs. Dinner tonight is spaghetti bolognaise SW-style. I'm still feeling the aftershock of the weekend food and drink blow out!
DDad is back with us for almost 2 weeks, and has brought me his washing (how kind!) plus DS2's uniform need doing too. He has worked 8 days out of the last 10 which is a bit much, so has asked to cut down. All very well earning the money but he has no social life now gf is out of the picture.
Hope our poorlies are feeling a bit brighter today.

Morning all
popping on quickly before work
I'm shattered. DH woke me up at half 1 this morning and i didn't get back to sleep. Managed to get DD dressed and out to nursery on time thankfully.
Not sure what today has in store for me. Looks like a quietish day at work then home to pick up DD, entertain till bedtime...then get her into bed which she is challenging atm. Then have a potter about tidying.
Dinner is either a ready meal or leftover mac n cheese

Morning all
Dull and overcast here and some rain due this morning, I have three guests coming today and we are off for a walk around the lake in nearby Arundel and then a mooch around the shops and tea and cake somewhere 😃 I will just have a tea ☕️
Thanks for the good wishes re mum I picked her up around 5 last evening and got her settled back at home, turns out she has been taking her tablets incorrectly for years 😳 so she should be back on an even keel soon, she feels better for being at home.
This afternoon I am going to have my legs and bits waxed 😬 painful but necessary, I shall also pick up the travel money while I am out.
Dinner tonight will be something with mince - maybe a spag bol , I need to run the hoover round this morning.
Marie how nice to see you posting I hope your DH recovers well xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
RR, glad to hear your mum is home & on the mend, but how bizarre that her problem was only just noticed. When do you go away?
Gers, I was in Newcastle in February and it seemed easier to get in & out from the south than ever before. Safe drive to Droitwich.
I have a chap coming to quote for some new wall cabinets today, taller & deeper than the existing ones. Other than that not much is happening. It's currently raining so the laundry can go onto the airer when he's gone!
Radiotherapy went OK - I left a bag of Aldi sweets for their staffroom which were very well received 😊2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi everyone,
Ruby, oh my gosh, you will probably see a difference in your mum now she's taking her tablets correctly, it usually takes me about 4 days to notice a difference if my dosage is changed.
Gers, sounds like an eventful journey, have a good time.
Meanmarie, belated anniversary wishes to you.
I'm still coughing for England but managed to get a phone, then face to face appt with the physician assistant at the surgery. She listened to my crackling chest and prescribed antibiotics so hopefully I'll start to get better soon.
The family got back at about 1am and Esben was wide awake after sleeping in the car. I can hear him bumbling around in his bedroom now so he'll probably be an overtired mess by 6pm today. I also heard Esther in the night, her teeth are coming in fast, she now has six with two more well on the way, so I think she was in pain.
Not a lot planned for today, just trying to shake off this infection once and for all.
Have a good day.11
