Good morning all bright and sunny on the Isle of Wight, just sitting up in bed with a cuppa, and a couple of ginger nut biscuits reading through emails etc on my laptop. I've let the dogs out to the garden and came back to drink my cuppa in peace as they are partial to nibbling the biscuits and i don't feed dogs my biscuits
They are my morning treat
Tonight DGS ben arrives for a couple of days ,he has to leg it from school in London to catch the 4.30 train to Portsmouth then the ferry across to Fishbourne where we will pick him up He's going fishing with his Mum tomorrow, and has to go back to London on Sunday as he's not yet broken up from school. Jack,Henry and Michael are all coming on Monday morning as Jack's school breaks up today and Mikey is down from Uni, and Henry has two days off from work in the city and he wants to use them up. So Monday will be a noisy day
But we like having the boys home and they are a lot of fun bless them.
Hope every one has a nice day and hopefully the sun shines down on you all

Good morning - since you've started the thread a minute before me Gers, you're the official starter!
Sunny start here, not a bad morning. Sorry to read that it's raining there.
Hope you're having a good time with your nephew.
TA, I had a run of bad nights last week, so I'm not so bad this week - we know how it goes don't we. Hope you had baklava when you went out for tea.
Izzy, sounds like your clients granddaughter has had a party, surely you won't be expected to clear up. Hope not.
Glad to read that little Nate is recovering Snoozer, thoughts to Nanny, and Floss, and anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers - I did think of you when the weather report came on last night - very blue!
How lovely to have the boys over to the IOW for the weekend @London_1. My DSis is taking my DDad there for the weekend as he has a cousin in Newport and wanted to visit her as part of his bucket list tour of the UK! She is dropping him back with us on Monday.
Yes my money is on a party too @IzzyBee
We are at a friends tonight for drinks. I will be driving as the bus route is a little convoluted and I have FC tomorrow morning, so would like to see a loss. Have been super good this week so fingers crossed. Dinner tonight is SW Chinese beef and black bean stew, another neeeeeew recipe.
I got 5 loads of washing dried on the line yesterday. Unfortunately some of it will need ironing, so that's a job for Sunday!
Have a good day all

Morning All
Thanks for the starts Gers and Scarlet.
Raining here too but quite muggy, I've nothing planned apart from painting so the weather isn't a problem for me today. Great day with the little one yesterday, she sat very quietly at the hairdressers and had a good swim - she never stops in the pool, mostly under water! Can't believe the difference in her swimming, she's now so confident.
I woke up at 4.30 again thinking I was going to be getting up but fell asleep again until 6.50 which is unheard of, will take it as the win for today!
Hope you enjoyed your time with your Nephew Gers and he bought you a big glass of wine.
Glad little Nate is recovering Snoozer, hope you are too.
Enjoy your walk tomorrow Floss.
Probably best you weren't able to get into the house Izzy.
Hope you enjoyed your afternoon tea TA.
I had an emergency call from friends DD over the road, she had made a pasta sauce and put it in the liquidiser but it was too hot and created a vacuum so the lid wouldn't come off. Managed to put it under the cold tap for a while and eventually got the lid off, she was very relieved and very hungry!
Happy Friday, take care. XX11 -
I did hover a bit Scarlet, just in case. In the past you could see who was logged in and could avoid double posting.Yesterday I got to the hotel in good time to sit in the bar / lounge area reading whilst waiting for my nephew to arrive. His Glasgow base is only about 200 yards away. We ended up sitting there all evening, got some food delivered ( which was a disappointment) then he went out to get me my longed for onion rings 😂 and chatted around the world until about 1.00am. Groups of bedraggled people arrived back from the gig, some completely soaked through and lots wearing large pink plastic ponchos. I felt so sorry for them. This morning I'm off to meet up with DM's old crossword friend, going to collect two orders, doing a bit of shopping and then heading home. It's been a short, sweet and eye wateringly expensive stay but so worth it.Hotel shower here I come. 🎉
Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Friday to all.11 -
Morning everyone dogs have been walked it’s a lot warmer out today I think it has to be nice all day I wish my friends were back from holiday another 10 days yet he is such a lovely dog and no bother but he gets taken out at 5 on a morning before her husband goes to work and he’s had me up since 4.30 every day it’s just his routine of course he’s snoring for the rest of the day now I’m of to work for the rest of the day now who said it was a dogs life . I sent my client a message yesterday to say I had knocked on the doors and windows and couldn’t wake her up so couldn’t clean the house she said she would get in touch with her for next week I don’t know if she has had a party or not I think she might of had some friends round but she has two little kiddies and it looked like clothes and cups left all over there was broken biscuits all over the floor I think she’s been there a few days but the place looked like a bomb had dropped. Last day today weekend of I won’t be doing much just dog walking and housework my friend at work brought me some potatoes straight out of her allotment yesterday we had some last night and there’s enough for tonight they were delicious totally different from anything you can buy I miss my garden in my old house it was huge and we grew all sorts we even had a green house but I don’t miss the work I couldn’t do it now I’m quite happy with my patch of grass and a few pots . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. We have sunshine which is set to last all day, with a forecast of up to 25 deg. Typical when I have the Friday Tidy this morning! followed by a bit of packing (clothes and food) for tomorrow's jaunt to the van.
Yesterday the afternoon tea was enjoyable but, at the same time a slight disappointment, as there were no Turkish goodies involved. And I was so looking forward to some Baklava. As DD had booked our tea for lunchtime the afternoon was ours so we had a wander round in the sunshine and mingled with the tourists! Just a pity it wasn't a market day.
It was youngest DGDs gymnastic competition in the evening so I went along with them to watch her in action! She ended up with the shared Gold position for the best all rounder, and a lovely gold medal to add to her collection. I was suitably proud of her!
Well jobs await so better move myself. I think the 2 youngest DGDs have invited themselves for lunch (another strike day) but will play it by ear. There's plenty in the freezer if they do descend on me. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or getting better. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all, seems nice today, sorry about your heavy rain Gers but glad you had a good meet up with DN.Enjoy your family weekend Jackie.Glad Nate is better Snoozer.Glad you had a good day with DGD Camelot, good to know she's a good swimmer!Sounds like a tricky & potentially disastrous liquidiser crisis averted, well done Scarlet.Izzy our dog seems to be getting up earlier and earlier these days, but not as bad as you today.Coxy- 5 loads! Well done. I should prob do some today with a good forecast ahead for us.TA sorry there was no baklava but I'm sure you had a good afternoon anywayDGS is also off school today but he went back to his DMs last night as their sicky bug has cleared up, but his SDad will drop him here at 3 so I can take him for a haircut, there's a barber shop inside the big T esco and DS will meet us there & have his done too. Speaking of Mr T I have an order coming in a bit, not before time as the fridge is looking a bit bare. Last night I did Thai spiced chicken, on a flatbread for the menfolk , with salad. It cooked really well in my ninjagrill.Right better go and fish my bags out to transfer my shopping into. Have good days all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)13

Bright and sunny here and a day off for me which is nice, I have to take mum to the Dr this morning but then the day is my own, will walk the dogs when I get back and then have a nana nap 😴
Not sure about dinner tonight will go and rummage in the freezer after this we have plenty in so won’t starve.
Ive had a text this morning from a dermatologist service where you can download an app and send a photo of the problem area and a dermatologist will have a look at it and get back to me within three days ! Such a good idea I just hope I can get a clear enough photo.
Have good days all and take care xx
