Morning all, I slept well last night, with only one prolonged coughing bout. We've got sunshine too and hopefully up to 25 degrees so I'm going to make the most of it, well that's the plan. The wm is on and a towel wash is waiting it's turn.
Yesterday it dried up so we hung the new gate but then couldn't find the latch I'd bought, so we're going to check the van today and then pop across to the wood shop for some wood and another latch. I had another senior moment too when I couldn't remember how to use the steam function on my new iron. I was flummoxed and had to call Mr Fix It who pushed the button with a picture of a steaming iron on it, doh !! Last night we had a hm chicken curry and jacket pot, tonight I'll have salmon, Mr Fix It has yet to decide.
TA well done to your DGD, another medal 🥇 Have a good time at the van.
Wm has finished so I'll hang it out, sorry to post and run.
Take care all

Hi everyone,
I feel your pain Nanny, I woke up coughing for England and I'd felt so much better last night! Get well soon.
TA, sorry about the Baklava, Lidl are having a Greek week I think and their baklava is very nice (better than M&S imo).
It's supposed to be hot here and the sun is shining like billyo. I did some hw yesterday, including trying to rescue some of Laura's houseplants which have been very neglected lately, there is one on the patio table waiting to be repotted so I'd better move it before it gets scorched, we have a south facing garden which is both a blessing and a curse.
I have to go food shopping today because we are out of both milk and bread, I've not had much of an appetite this week so I have lost a few pounds but I know from experience that they'll go back on again just as quickly. Other plans are to watch the Murray match, shame they had to stop when he was obviously on top and also the Tour de France which fascinates me every year for some reason. I don't watch any other cycling (apart from the olympics) and I'm an infrequent cyclist but there is something about the sheer endurance and machiavellian tactics of the tour that reels me in.
Have a good day

Beautiful photo of one of my granddaughters in her Prom dress, she looks stunning.
I am about to have the second of three reflexology treatments, if it is anything like last time I will sleep afterwards for a couple of hours!
I have just one courgette plant in a container and have just picked my first courgette. The other day harvested a beautiful cucumber from the greenhouse. I really miss being able to garden but these little bits keep me going

Afternoon all. Well the sun is most definitely shining here today, so much so that I've just put two loads on the line and I expect them to be dry in a hour or so..Meet up with new gardening friend went well, she lost me a bit at the spirituality talk but I soon rallied because you'd have to beat me over the head with a stick to put anything like that in my head [ not because I don't like it, just that I believe in the now] and we had a good moan about our various ailments. All in all, nothing offputting was going on so there's the potential for more gardening chats in the future. And she liked my garden [extra brownie points] and I managed to foist a lot of plants on her so yay. Rest of the day will be spent doing nothing after yesterday although I do have a some drugs and some contact lenses to pick up. Lasagne is made for tonight ad there's plenty of rocket in the garden for a salad.Jackie, congratulations on your new granddaughter, now you'll have to go to see her
And how lovely to have all your family at hand over the weekend and week. Gers, glad you enjoyed your jaunt even if it was a bit spendy. nanny, very lucky with the scrappie coming round to save you from more work..slow down! Coxy, have a lovely time tonight! and where else does his bucket list take him? camelot, well done for engineering a solution! Izzy, I hope you don't have to clear up her mess as well as their mess! TA, another vote for lidls baklava, it's lovely. Rsoy, that's my go to dinner when I can't be bothered to get all involved, it's so easy just to spice it and make flatbreads, wish I'd discovered that years ago. In fact, it was Nels who persuaded me to give it a go because she said it was so easy and so much better and she was right. Ruby, very high tech, hope they come back to you asap. Right, off to do nothing on the sofa...take care all...
