Hello again, it's not a bad morning here, hope it stays that way.
Congratulations Jackie to you and your family, glad the baby has arrived safely at last.
Ruby, sorry to read that your client was so rude to you, good that you managed to put a stop to it straightaway.
We went to the seaside yesterday for a walk and a fish and chip lunch, very nice. I had breakfasted on painkillers so I did get moving in the end.
Funny how it changes from day to day, I feel quite spry this morning.
I'm meeting a friend for coffee this morning, just in a local cafe, so just a short walk.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.12 -
lovely news Jackie.11

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. After a good run of decent nights last night was a restless one and I was awake more than I was asleep. Grr. I hope just a one off.
Not a bad forecast and at last the wind seems to have dropped. Yesterday it was back with us and felt quite chilly. Middle DGD stopped by after a walk over the moor with a friend (teacher strike day) and said she was smothered! I wasn't! She ended up staying for tea as DD was at dance with youngest and they picked her up on the way back.
A treat in store for today! Off out with DD for afternoon tea in Skipton. A much delayed gift she gave me for Mothers Day! It's something a bit different as it's at a Turkish place and I will be mightily disappointed if there isn't Revani and/or Baklava amongst the selection! It gets quite good reviews so I hope it lives up to promise.
I should have time to give the kitchen and bathroom a once over before we go if I pull my socks up. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or getting better.xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons - enjoy your meet up today x
Nice day here and I've washing on the go to be pegged out shortly. Another load to go on, but DS2 has to get his uniform washed for another shift tonight. He now has 4 sets of uniform instead of 2 which is good given he's FT over the Summer break.
Started a new book last night - not sure I'm all that invested, but will persevere for a few chapters more. Nothing doing if I leave it as it was a CS 50p purchase! Also started series 3 of The Bay with DH as we missed it first time around.
Dinner tonight is grilled chilli, soy and lime salmon.
Enjoy the afternoon tea @TravellingAbuela x
Good to see you posting @poppy811 x
Well done @RedRuby1231 - no need for rudeness x
Have a good day all,

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to your grandson and his wife Jackie.
TA, if it's the Turkish restaurant at the bottom of the High Street we have had some lovely meals there, no afternoon tea but I have had their baklava which I love, enjoy.
Steve is about to go golfing with Chris and I shall finish tidying round before the new cleaner comes. Today is a one off, she will normally be here on Monday but it will be good to have a quiet start before the madness is unleashed on her. I'm feeling better again and Nate also seems to be on the mend so hopefully we will be back to normal soon.
Have a good day.12 -
Congratulations to all the family JackieO

Congratulations on Daisy's safe arrival Jackie.
Not much happening here - my treatments are right in the middle of the day and a 30m drive away, so just pottering this morning. Tonight I will pack for an overnight stay on Friday as me and 14 girlfriends are doing the Pink Ribbon walk around Chatsworth (well, most of them are, me & one of us with BC having chemo are starting then meeting them to finish together).2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off Scarlet. It's good that you're feeling spry, long may it continue. My pool class was fine though my right knee isn't enjoying as much. I took two ibuprofen before the session which helped. The massage was so painful but good. All those deep knots were pushed out and smoothed. The therapist said that my shoulders were up at my ears when I arrived. I've booked again next month.I'm off to Glasgow later this morning. My English nephew is on his way up to do a piece of techie work at his office here so we'll have an evening together. The favourite hotel is fully booked so we're in a different one, it's only for one night so I'll manage. 😀
My fridge is officially bereft of fresh food. I'll do a shop tomorrow on my way home. I feel both pleased that I've used up every scrap of food, wasted nothing, but strangely anxious too. No idea why.Jackie O - that's such wonderful news. Welcome to wee Daisy.Ruby - good that you've nipped the attitude in the bud. I hope it lasts.TA - your afternoon tea sounds delicious. I've never heard of a Turkish one before.Coxy - being ruthless with books is brilliant.Floss - I hope that all goes well for you.The Sewing Bee last night was really enjoyable, the star garment was a stunner amongst all the other beautiful dresses. The professional Bake Off was too full of unnecessary jeopardy and showstoppers for me. But I still watched it. 😀My DW is screaming to be emptied. I've got a big bag of big clothes to give to the CS in Glasgow. My overnight rucksack is ready so I'll be off in a wee while.Big hugs to our poorlies. Happy Thursday to all.12 -
Morning All
Just weather this morning, not sure what it's going to do. No washing so that's a bonus!
Well done Ruby, it must be difficult for you at times although you do seem to have lots of good fun.
Enjoy your afternoon tea TA, sounds interesting.
Great for you to see the family SuffolkSue.
Little one to collect this morning and I have a haircut booked for 12, she will be ok sitting with her tablet for 20 minutes, I'll just get her to do a quick cut without the wash and blow dry. I think we may go swimming later if it's raining, park if it isn't. She's quite good on her balance bike now so zips along in front of me.
Painting is coming on, I've put the bathroom door back on this morning, quite proud of myself.
Have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Morning all
Bright and sunny here and set for a nice day, off to collect my private client and take him to work, we are in the cafe today so will do some baking I expect.
Thanks for the good wishes re the rude one, I have reported the rudeness and told them I will send her home next time, it’s being investigated as she is doing it where she lives too so hopefully they will get to the bottom of it.
Dinner tonight it salmon for me with some veg and OH has a pizza and salad, dd is working a late shift.
I want to nip into B & M later for a few bits for the holiday only 10 days to go and I’m feeling very excited 😃
